Hi everyone,

My dream cue has finally arrived and what can I say? It's DA BOMB! Plays not only amazing but the cue's an absolutely a headturner. The cue has a really firm solid hit (even more astounding with the ivory collar and ferrule) and moves the cueball around with ease. Like to give a review and few pics:

Paul Sumrall:
A great guy and a wonderful person to order a cue from. He's really friendly and always made an effort to answer all my never-ending enquiries. He made really good recommendations for my cue (tips and splice position) and was always accommodating during the whole cuemaking process. So if anyone is thinking of customing a full splice cue, look no further, PM Paul (His nick in AZ is sonofthunder)

The 5 Veneer, full splice FLAMING HOPPE:
Veneers are immaculate. Can't really see any glue lines and absolutely no broken veneers. The points line up pretty well and the curly maple on the cue is wonderfully figured. Love the curly maple! The ebony is really dark and contrasts really well with the veneers. Like how Paul lasered his logo and the year into the metal buttplate (I think it's his 1st? Have to check with him). The only con i can really say (being picky) is that when the shaft is screwed on, the shaft collar and the joint collar don't line up perfectly. Other than that, the cue looks really beautiful and kudos to Paul for a job well done.

That is just sick! You can't get any more veneers on it. You sure picked a heck of a custom cue to start off with. Great pickup! S&S just keeps putting out some beautifully crafted cues.
 
Yea, people won't lying when Paul made great playing cues....His cues really look and play great...He deserves more recognition....He's really a very good cuemaker
 
Great looking stick!! Those veneers really pop and that curly maple nose, just looks oh so good.. Best of luck with it..

The cue really is amazing....I can't stop taking out of the case and looking at it....It's just that beautiful

Even Paul said after he made this, he is really tempted to make another for himself
 
Effing Phenomenal! Wonderful cue you have there. And as stated above,
it could not have come from a nicer person. Congrats on a sweet cue,
and props to Paul for making such a nice stick.
 
Congrats on a great looking cue! Those flame veneers are smokin', and the curly is beautiful.
 
Well, ive looked at this thread like 10 times in the last 2 day. I can't believe how awesome this cue looks.

Congrats on owning a beautiful cue, if it plays half aswell as it looks you got a great deal :D
 
same here! even though I own the cue, I look at the cue and also the pics i posted about 2-3 times a day....it's really that beautiful...it really blows my mind

as for the playability of the cue, it is excellent....the hit is firm and has a very solid sound. Really good!
 
finally getting to play this cue a second time tomorrow....been busy the whole week...

I still smile a lot when I take the cue out of the case to just admire...It's that beautiful and slick

That thing is gorgeous!!! :eek:

I have been talking with Paul about a project, and so far I am really impressed with everything I see and hear.

He's sending me a demo cue this week, and I can't wait!!!
 
5 Veneer flame

I want thank all of you for the comments & compliments. It was pretty cool doing the build "on line" so to speak. I have had more request to do it again. So, with the assistance of my customer(he'll do the pics), we will do it again. The blank will be finished soon...

wow!!!!! that cue is off the chart, no bumper and wicked flame veneers, the maple is perfect too, man thats a strong cue, who ever picked the colors, etc for this cue did one hell of a job. Best new cue I have seen on here in a while for sure.
 
wow thanks for the interest in the cue....I tot of the veneers combination but it's because of Paul's skill that really made it the look that it is...

For the price, please approach Paul himself. I don't think it's really nice to reveal stuff about people's business. But I highly recommend Paul if you wana custom a full splice, it plays firms even with an ivory joint which is really rare.
