I think this is Colin Colenso potting drill,,,
I know some of you already seen this but someone mentioned it in another
thread so i thought i would give it a go.
Im a firm beleiver in drills. This one wasnt really hard but when your
video tapeing it ,it makes it a little tougher...
I think the hardest part was reading the shot chart,,,,

This is it. I think that it would help the discussion on aiming tremendously for as many of us as possible to try this and see where we are with whatever we use.

I remember that. I think the only two people that put up vids, for a while, were Spiderwebbcomm and me.

I think we both did 2 shots per (you were supposed to shoot each shot 5 times, I didnt feel like spending an hour shooting and taping). I think Spidey missed 1 and I missed 2 balls.

*Edit- nice shooting 8pack. you're definitely a player

Eric >uses CTE

I think Joe Tucker and Colin also posted videos, but I don't have the links.

I edited my post to say no one "for a while".

Hey Dave, why didn't you post a vid? You were pretty involved in that debate.

... because I wouldn't look as good as you guys.

Maybe I'll post a vid using CTE to balance the "score" off a bit. :D

I'd rather just do a real "pissing contest." I can piss farther than most people, because my "pissing method" is better. :grin-square:

8Pack--

Super shooting. Congrats on being one of the few who had the courage to post a video. What kind of table is that?

Dr. Dave--

You obviously have the camera equipment - why don't you submit a video? We're not gonna grill you if you do poorly. I'd be interested in seeing how DAM works. This isn't a pissing contest like a few call it. That has nothing to do with it. It just seems that if someone thinks _______ way of shooting is the way to do it, show your conviction with a video. Let's see if you can do the practical application part of this sport. I'm the best shooter on planet earth in the classroom.

Nice duck. So much for melding theory and proof, lol.

Why don't we just all get together in a schoolyard that has a pool table (or not) and settle this thing like "real men." :D

Actually, I might post a video, but if I do it would be a comparison of CTE vs. DAM. I think I'll do better with DAM, but I will certainly give both approaches my best effort.

Catch you later,
Dave

In your pissing method are you right stream dominant or left stream? Nice vid and good shooting sir.

If an industry expert posts something - he has everything to lose and nothing to gain. If he looks like a dork, nobody will take his posts seriously anymore. They might as well stay in the shadows and lecture about theory and practicality... They get a lot more followers that way.

I post videos all the time. In fact, I'm a tan dude because I don't hang out in shadows. In fact, people call me out and tell me to prove it on video - and I have.

I wish you would -- then we can see what you're doing wrong with CTE.

That said, in my opinion, theory without proof is just...a guess.

Or hot air.

8pack, that's some impressive shooting!

You say you're a firm believer in drills so I'm wondering what shotmaking drills you practiced that helped you improve to the point you're at now? Mind sharing?

8 Pack - I like the wack-em method! You win the prize - if you have Paypal send me the address and I will send you your $50.

Edit: Well I tried it and while I'd like to make excuses like my table is tight ( it is) and I don't play much (I don't), the fact of the matter is that my game needs work to get back in stroke.

I might put up the video or I might not. I think that if I do then I should have people flying to China to gamble with me.

Once I get in stroke I will so this again and see if there is any improvement.

No aiming system compensates for piss poor mechanics and no focus. :-(

I do agree that it's a bit of a pain trying to read the shot chart while filming. I think that next time I will get some white chalk and mark where each shot is supposed to be placed.
