nice looking cues!!!! never played with a fully cored cue before. GL with your sale!!!

As usual . . .

You continue to build some of the greatest lookin' and playing cues around . . . still saving my peso's, but I feel another new Patrick is coming to the house soon!

Good luck with your sale Doug . . . wish they were both mine!

Thanks everyone for the kind words!!!! The Sapele cue I have been playing with for the last couple weeks and I really hate to sell it. But do to the hard economic times I am going to have to let her go!!!!

wow doug...

those cues are outstanding...

just beautiful cues...

so nice to see

all the best,
smokey

Good god Doug! Have you lost your mind! I mean only a cue maker who wasn't thinking right would make such outrageously beautiful cues to torture us poor souls. You know i like Cocobolo and that one has some killer grain to it. The other cue is real nice also. I think the move must have released some creative juices. Might be your best work yet on simple cues. Less sometimes is more. Bravo.

For those who are thinking about trying one of Doug's cues, either of these would be a good choice.

Incredibly sharp work. Excellent figuring in both cues.

So what does "cored" mean to a laymen like myself? IE what are the physical or stylistic values that one would associate with a "cored" cue?

Well these 2 cues are drilled out threw the center and then threaded. I used a purple heart center that is threaded in the top cue. The Cocobolo cue has also been drilled out throughout the whole butt end of cue and threaded with a laminated maple dowel!

What you get is a short spliced cue that plays more like the full splice cue!
We use differrent cores to change the way the cue plays! Maple cores for easier ball movement and softer hit. Hard cores like the purple heart core so the cue plays stiffer! A little harder to move the ball around the table so to speak but more conntrolled! The top cue also has a Predator 314-2 shaft. The bottom cue has one of our left deflection shafts developed right here in our shop! Which both of these will provide better control and better accuracry! Which is what we are all looking for! These cues both hit very very good!!!!

Thanks for asking! If you have any more questions about my cues feel free to give me a call or just write them down here.

If i win enough on Saturdays power ball I'll take the Cocobolo cue.
And if i win the top prize I'll take them both, but don't turn down any offers just yet. :D
