LP Custom Insane Curly & Roger Taft case set

Hi all. My new custom LP from Lee Peppers arrived today. I ordered this cue from Lee and explained to him that one of my dream cues has always been a one piece Highly figured Curly Maple cue with brass hardware. As some of you know Curly maple is my favorite cue wood. So he was able to locate one of the most figured blocks of red leaf curly maple I have ever seen. Through the months of the build I can say it was a pure joy dealing with Lee bringing this cue to reality. He knew exactly what I was going for and kept me updated through out the build. I probably pestered the poor guy to death but he was always kind and understanding. Lee is the type of builder who takes it to the extra level also. For example he tipped the brass pin with ivory. I didn't order this but he did it because he thought the cue deserved that little extra touch because he was "into" the cue and knew I would like it. Once the build began I knew it had to have a special case. I discovered Roger Taft and his craft online and explained the cue to him and that I wanted to have a case specifically for this cue. I was treated with the utmost respect as a customer and Roger more than met my expectations with the final result. The construction of the case is top notch craftsmanship and I would recommend Roger's work to anyone and everyone. It really compliments the cue. Both men know there craft and it is one of the most awesome experiences I have had bringing the two together to create this set for me. Roger thank you so much for your work on this case. Your the best. Lee, you are not only my builder but a good friend. I can not thank you enough for making this cue come to life for me. I will treasure it always. I can't wait for the day when we get on a table together and I kick your ass with it!
I will also be posting later today a video review of the set.

That is a REALLY nice pairing! Mind-blowing curly maple, and the matching JPs are a cool touch too. Thanks for sharing, Duane.

THAT is a RIDICULOUS piece of curly maple! I love it. Great looking case as well.

Congratulations!
Chris

Wow Duane that's really some CURLY CURLY. Lee and Roger did you right on these - Awesome work form two wonderful craftsmen. Congrats Duane.

LP and RT

WOW! That's a heck of a combo Duane. Big kudos to both LP and RT for some amazing craftsmanship. Really nice work on the cue Lee. Everything has a nice balance to it and the bumperless butt was a nice touch along with the ivory tip. Great job!

The case just compliments every aspect of the cue. Awesome job on that too Roger. You guys should team up for more projects.
