false advertising by BCNtv

I am David Hodges inventor of the pool table cleaner Quick-Clean. I am looking for some taped shows by BCN TV where I was shown cleaning the table while advertising Chalk-Off. BCNtv has been airing these shows trying to get people to think that I have changed the name of my product. I just want people to know that I have not changed my product or name. I have nothing to do with Chalk-Off . This is a window-cleaning agent that BCNtv has introduced into the market as a knock off of my cleaner. Chalk-Off will not take the chalk off your table it just mashes the chalk into the fibers of the cloth like a wet towel would do. Chalk –Off also is very harmful to your health, the label says this product contains chemicals that cause CANCER and BIRTH DEFECTS or REPRODUCTIVE HARM. It also will harm the finish on your table and bleach the color from your cloth. If anyone has a copy of the shows where I am cleaning the table advertising Chalk-Off I would like to have a copy of the tapes. These tapes are false advertising trying to destroy the image that I created with my product and my image personally. You can contact me personally at david@quick-Clean.com or call me on my toll free number at 1 866 240-2789. I will be happy to buy a copy of these tapes. Someone who has done something as destructive as this should and will be dealt with.
Thanks for everyone’s help!!

So, you're saying this Chalk-Off stuff causes cancer, reproductive harm, birth defects, will harm your tables finish and dull the cloths color. Wow! I won't be buying that stuff. I can't help you with any tapes, but during the matches I was confused about what product was being advertised. The way it was presented, I assumed your product name was changed to Chalk-Off. Good luck.

I seen the chalk off stuff advertised by BCN and figured it was the quick-clean stuff with just a different name. I think there was a picture of you on the chalk off web site at one time(saying "as seen on tv". bought 2 bottles of this stuff and the micro fibre brush. The stuff is not cheap. I haven't seen any problem with my table and I've used it twice and it has cleaned the table.

Anyone else buy the chalk off cleaner and used it for any length of time? Now you got me scared to use it on my table. Are you planning on a lawsuit?

I've got a can of your quick clean but I haven't used it yet. Do you recommend using a plain cotton cloth? How often should it be applied? How long does it take to dry after you use it?

thanks

I don't own any quick clean, but isn't there instructions on the bottle?

The Quick-Clean can be removed from your table with any lent free cloth. I do however recommend that you use something that is microfiber. The Quick-Clean mist creates a positive charge on your table picking the chalk and dirt up off the cloth and putting it into the mist. This allows you to wipe it off the table and not wipe it into the cloth fibers. The microfiber cloth has a negative charge, which creates a magnetic effect with the positive charge. The quicker you wipe the table off the better that it works. If you touch the cloth as soon as you finish wiping, the cloth should be dry. If not you have applied too much cleaner, so next time put on less. I recommend that you clean your table after you play and you should not vacuum or brush as this is pushing the chalk back into the fibers.

When watching the Mika / Paez match on BCn I noticed a banner in the background for, what I thought was your product. I went to the web site listed on the banner and bookmarked it. I just checked it now and it is for Chalk-Off.

Check out:
http://www.pooltablecleaner.com

If you then click on the "About" link up top...
http://pooltablecleaner.com/about.php
it goes to a page with you on it and a vid clip of the product in action. Though at the very end it mentions the Quick Clean name, during the entire clip it has pooltablecleaner.com across the bottom which goes to a storefront that sells Chalk-Off. It gave me the impression Quick Clean and Chalk Off was the same product.

Thought you might want to know.

My intentions were not to scare anyone. I was just making people aware that Quick-Clean is not the same product as Chalk-Off, and does not work the same. The warnings are on the can and Rob should have sent you a MSDS sheet because the can says to” read material safety data sheet before using”. The effect that Chalk-Off creates on your table will not be seen until down the road sometime. Chalk-Off is a new product unlike Quick-Clean, which has been used world wide for 4 years with great success. Rob is trying through his advertising with me cleaning the table to trick people into thinking that I have changed the name of my product. If you were to have any further concerns please give me a private email or call 1 866 240-2789 toll free.

Thanks for your information. Rob is trying to connect me with his product trying to trick people into thinking that I have changed the name of my product. I am sorry that this has accrued and it is not good for the industry for this to have happened. For someone to try and gain sale by false advertising thier image and using mine is not the answer.

Okay, enough is enough on this issue. Mr. Hodges, I suggest you be very careful here. You and your friends have already crossed the line of slander, defamation and libel with your comments here and in other threads on this forum about my company, the products we endorse and me. Have your attorney educate you on these legal terms.

This negative spin campaign is nothing more than sour grapes, where you repeatedly make false and misleading statements about my company, me and the products we endorse. Be advised, this will be tolerated no longer. Call your attorney.

Due to all these accusations, I'm never ordering anything from BCN again.

I don't know why you just want to stir the pot almost every time you chime in. Guess you're just a jackass like the rest of us (who like the pot just the way it is).

But Rob- why is Hodges' footage used to direct traffic to a competing product?

I did get a look at a can of "Chalk Off" at the US Open and it certainly does warn against cancer (that is scarey!!!). I am a witness that they were using "Quick Clean" to clean the tables at the US Open, while BCN was advertising "Chalk Off". I thought that was odd too. I had just thought that they switched product names as well. Looks as if something fishy is going on with "Chalk Off".

I will stick with the "Quick Clean" myself. No warning about cancer on their product and I have been using it for a couple of years. It does a great job too!

I hope that the 2 can settle their differences, we do not need any more turmoil than we have to in this industry.

I would also have the same question that Black-Balled has for Rob..."why are you using footage of Hodges cleaning tables for your so called "Improved Product". I am thinking that Bill Gates would have trouble if Apple was using his image in their advertisements... Maybe that is just me!!

Peace

Rob,
If you think that I have said something that is false or misleading why don't you set the record straight and tell everyone what you are talking about. I know that the people in this forum are not stupid and I think that they will see right through a person of your caliber. Please don't make idle threats, just do it.

That is a good question...... That I'm sure well get an answer to.

waiting waiting ok I'm done holding my breath.

I think you have a very good case David. Get tapes of everything from the Open. I does appear to be an attempt to mislead.

Good Luck, Pel
