Forget the Magic Rack and get yourself one of these!!!!

rack tight

RACK TIGHT!!!!!!!

http://racktight.com/

We tried this in London Ontario a couple of months ago, on a table with brand new Championship cloth. After 3 days, the balls wouldn;t lock up anymore and we had to remove it. Seems if the cloth stretches even a hair, it moves the spots further apart, so we went back to the Magic Rack Pro for tournaments with no more problems

Just my observation

Anybody know the cost?

**Edit**
I emailed Grace and heard back almost immediately. The price is $14.99 for 1, or $25 for 2.

Bobby Chamberlain has this on his "A" table in Woodbridge and it works fanstatic. Especially when the balls are wicked clean (highly suggest) they just open up like an umberlla

I have those! Awesome!

If put on right and under perfect conditions, like new clean balls, good cloth, and climate control, I'm sure it works well. But if the table temp and humidity are always changing, the cloth lossens or tightens and the balls will not rack the same. Johnnyt

Too many flaws for me. Leaving it on the table, the opportunity arises for the cloth's imperfections to affect it (like the example above of the cloth stretching even slightly). Also, the Magic Rack comes off the table after the break, whereas these appear to remain on the table during play. I don't dig that.

What's it like playing different games with this on the table? Can you even play 14.1 with it? Or would it need to be removed?

And the FAQ says it will never affect the roll of the balls on the table. I imagine they have the same affect as a slightly raised footspot would, and in my experiences, a slow rolling ball CAN be affected by a footspot that isn't sitting flush with the cloth.

Shouldn't you note you sell magic Racks each time you tout them?

Magic Ball Rack

I'm a distributor for these racks here in Canada. I've been using the 8 ball rack now for about 2 weeks and have broken a couple hundred racks without even one ball staying on the rack, but I do find...

Between the Magic Rack and the Delta it may be awhile before a better mousetrap comes along. With these I'm covered for all games.

racktight is the future of pool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Ok here is my opinion of the racktight.I have played on tables with the racktight system in several countries and have it on my personal table and have had not 1 problem in any direction with it.I would make sure your cloth is tight before you install the racktight.even if you had to restretch the cloth and put on a new racktight system they are so inexpensive it wouldnt matter.I play straight pool and 9ball on my table everyday in a poolroom and the players get there early just to play on my diamond table because there is no arguements concerning the rack at all period.

The balls break really well in all games and I think it is the future of pool.Who would want to lay a template on a table and have to remove it after you break or have to wait till later in the game to remove it because balls are laying on it especially playing straight pool that would be a joke and your opponet can lay a magicrack template a little bit off to change your rack without you knowing and the racktight system will not allow a bad rack.

And yes racktight is now one of the products I endorse along with some other top players like 8 time world champion Nick Varner.

Thanks,

Bobby Chamberlain

This is what is used maybe 70% of the time in Japan. The other 30% is the magic rack. Nobody seems to use traditional racks aroung these parts.

For 9 ball, I prefer the spots because it affects the game less than the magic rack. As for a full rack, the best thing is a good traditional rack.

This is funny.
Either you have a girl break or you leave the rack on the table.
You can ask any user of the Magic Rack that about 95/97% of the time the Magic Rack is removed from the table.
Leaving stickers on the cloth is rather odd, as well leaves marks on the cloth.
Also the Magic Rack is endorsed by a ton of Pro's and the BCA.

The title on this thread is rather challenging dumb...
Myself I would never say, buy a Joss instead of Schon or a Predator something like that.
The best thing you can do is advise people with constructive criticism with sentences that make sense.
I wish I had $100.00 bill for each rack I've sold...
Forgot to say that the Magic Rack is endorsed by a ton of Pro's and the BCA.

I think you're reading too much into it bro. Lighten up already

That and i think that no one should play with a Joss and only play with schons!!!

Just because you endorse the Magic Rack doesnt mean i cant have an opinion. Either that or maybe your sales will eventually suffer... Hmmm well it doesnt really matter anyway its just my opinion and if you dont like it then you dont have to responed. Simple as that

I would say the percent is maybe 90% or so for the magic rack 95/97% is very generous. Bascally anytime a ball stops near the foot spot, you will have problems, break speed has nothing to do with it.

The spots very rarely affect the game. Maybe once a week if you play everyday for a few hours a day.

Why do you say leaving stickers on the cloth is odd? The foot spot is a sticker, and EVERY table has a spot. As for the stickers leaving marks on the cloth, they don't really, they aren't that sticky.

As for your last point, being endorsed by the BCA and pros doesn't make it better than a racking system that they have never tried before.
