I am willing to trade my 1977 Rolex Datejust for either a Lambros or Scruggs custom cue. This Datejust keeps the best time of any auto watch I have ever owned. One ding at 7 o'clock lug. Nice watch;

Is it a SS or white gold?

Have you had it serviced and do you have paper work, original box, and etc?

Thanks

Stainless. No box/paperwork included in the deal. It's 100% Rolex. I bought it a couple year's ago from a watch dealer that I have done business with for years. I can get it apprised by a Rolex dealer, on your dime, if you like. Nice vintage timepiece.

How many mm diameter is it? Is there a serial # ? How much stretch in band?

Todd

Hey Todd,

The serial number is intact (between the lugs) and dates the watch to 1977. I'll have to get back to you on the case diameter (19 hour days are wearing on me and I need to hit the sack). The band has some moderate stretch, nothing excessive. If you would like to track the serial number down, send me a email at;

Thanks!

cues

What other cues are you interested in trading for? Have a Richard Black (Black Baron), 1990 Phillipi (refinished) in perfect condition, A Ebony Parrot, Limited Schon, etc.

The price's on quality timepiece's are going up these days...

Great investment here...

I'm kind of a watch guy and this looks to be a very nice example of a stainless Rolex Datejust.

Dependent upon the condition of the case, band (amount of stretch), and if it has original documentation these can be had from as low as $1400 up to around $2K for an all stainless. Two-tone (stainless and gold jubilee bracelet and potentially gold or stainless case) in good condition tend to average from $2000 to $2900 dependent upon those aforementioned factors..

Some important questions:

- When was the watch last serviced by Rolex?

- Can you provide some shots of the clasp?

- Were any links removed? If so, do you have them? What size wrist will it fit currently?

- Can you provide some shots of the caseback and the crown?

Thanks.

Folks,

I believe this Datejust has the 18K white gold bezel. I will have that confirmed but it has the luster of gold. I'm tied up the next couple of nights but will post the requested pic's when I get a chance to take/upload some pic's. This is a pre quick set Datejust (serial number dates it to 1977). It is a clean vintage Datejust that keeps perfect time.

I can't be sure about 1977, but the Rolex dealer here just told me two days ago that the fluted bezel only comes in gold.

smooth = SS
fluted = gold

but again, that was on current model DateJusts.
