Folks:

Steve Lipsky started a nice thread in the 14.1 forum about known 200+ ball runs from players that are still with us (i.e. they haven't passed on).

I seem to recall some videos posted here showcasing Wayne Norcross and his beautiful slip-stroke, and it was mentioned he was a high-runner in 14.1 straight pool.

I know there's a few readers out there familiar or friendly with Wayne, and I was wondering if those of you would be so kind as to provide the particulars about Wayne's credentials (high-run-wise)?

Feel free to answer this thread, or post directly into Steve Lipsky's thread in the 14.1 forum:

Anything to see achievements of this magnitude brought to light and recorded.

Appreciate any insight anyone can share,
-Sean

Danny would know

Wayne's high run is 211, I believe. I've seen him run numerous 150s and a 175.

I have no doubt that that's right.

Danny don't hit em too bad either.

Wayne hits em real smooth. Ask him about Johnston City straight pool and the Jansco brothers. Then take a seat for a while-Wayne has some good stories.

Danny-take care.

Wayne's life long friend from when he lived in Md. we still talk often.
I will agree with that because Wayne told me that his high run is 211.

"Country Bob"-

Some say the measure of a man is demonstrated by the true friends he has.

Congratulations-Wayne is a fine man, exceptional straight pool player, a generous pool knowledge source, and a plain talking pleasure to be around.

When you speak to him next, please relay greetings from 'Sir William' (I don't know why he came up with that)/'Bill M or W" or '3railkick'.

Wayne is one of the good guys with a little 'East coast- edge', if riled up.

Thanks for posting about your friend, Wayne. Wayne won't blow his own horn, unless asked. And then, he tells-not brags.

Take care

I think Danny has it about right. I knew him well and I thought his high run was 206, but 211 could very well be right. I saw him run a 160 after his 70th birthday.

Sorry about those vids. I deleted my old youtube channels and didn't take the time to save anything.
