All I've heard from players is the the pockets are huge and it's a crapshoot. Appleton, Morris didn't make top 64.

I have never seen so many top names either knocked out or knocked into the one loss side by names I have seldom heard of in my entire life.

Good lord, there must be another level of players out there who have no respect for the legends I grew up watching play pool (and i'm not talking about just Americans either)

Whew.....

Well, I think Qatar time is 7 hours ahead of US EST. So if the first match is scheduled at 10 am over there, it will be live streamed at 3 am, July 3 US EST or 12 midnight US pacific. If the match is at 12 noon over there, then it will be 5 am US eastern or 2 am US pacific and so on and so forth.

This has to be the worst 9ball Championships ever from a fan perspective. To even know about it, you'd have to be deep into pool, reading various forums every day...etc. WPA is an absolute disgrace.

"Live score" page shows results of first three days only. No play today?

Are there any draw sheets at all? How many matches to go until we're into final 64?

The bracket for the first round of 64 has just been posted (scroll up to the 1st post in this thread). Seems Efren will be playing Archer first round.

Amazing! One fourth of the draw is filipino!

Not only that but I looked at the matches and not one of them are facing a fellow pinoy. I know it is close to impossible but can you imagine if all 16 of them win their respective matches? Then 1/2 of the final 32 will be Filipinos!!!

I wonder what matches they are going to stream live. Looking at the schedule of matches at this link below, I assume they are going to live stream 4 matches.

http://www.qbsf.info/w9bc2010/scores/page_5.php

Converting Qatar time to US EST, the matches will start at 3 am, 5:30 am, 8 am and 12 noon.

What matches do you like to see live streamed based on the schedule above?

Here are my choices:

1st session (10 am Qatar time or 3 am US est or 12 midnight US pacific)

SVB vs Joven Alba or
Bustamante vs Ortmann

2nd session (12:30 pm Qatar time or 5:30 US est or 2:30 am US pacific)

Lee Van Corteza vs Tony Drago or
Mika Immonen vs Lee Chenman

3rd session (3 pm Qatar time or 8 am US est or 5 am US pacific)

Johnny Archer vs Efren Reyes - will be surprised if they do not choose this

4th session (7 pm Qatar time or 12 noon US est or 9 am US pacific)

CS Yang vs David Alcaide or
Alcano vs Zulfikri

Streaming should be starting any minute now. Same with the live scoring
(see first post of this thread for details)
