After following the AZ Cue Build off Shawn did (AZ handle "ftgokie") I noticed about 3 cuemakers on the list he revealed that I did not know were cuemakers on here, or had heard of them. I think we should have a sticky or at least a constantly updated thread in one section IF this hasn't been done yet either in the main forum, wanted for sale, or possibly the gallery. I would lean on the main forum section as where to put it as I am sure the most people, especially new members start looking there.
I searched both cuemaker and directory for the key words in the title on AZ and I did not see one that listed purely an AZ list off of first glance. I did see a member directory where members could list their website, as well as a couple cuemaker compiled lists which included a lot of cuemakers in the world and some telephone numbers but was incomplete. I saw a thread AZ member i4pool did which takes you to an outside website which has a bunch of cuemakers and their websites. There are also multiple which cuemaker to use threads, but I did not see one thread which included all the AZ cuemakers.
Since AZ is it's own entity, and cuemakers take the time to post on here threads, pictures, and random posts which is awesome I think it would be very helpful for everyone to see how to get ahold of them. Yes all someone has to do is post a new thread to ask, or send a message to someone...but with trying to get the AZ community to grow when someone clicks on the main forum section they can see at the top of the page "AZ Cuemakers Directory" or something similar and then have instant access to the cuemakers that take the time to be a part of this community. Not all of the cuemakers have websites.
We can also include AZ dealers too (with their permission) that rep other cuemakers that may not be on here if they want to be listed.
I am thinking of course only with the cuemakers and dealers consent that the sticky can include the following information to which the cuemakers can choose what information is and is not listed:
Cuemaker Name
Cuemaker AZ handle
Telephone #
Email
Website
At the very least I would like to see the AZ handle and telephone #, but once again whatever information the cuemakers want to have available on here. This would be on a volunteer basis only.
If this has been done already then I just got great practice at typing...but if it hasn't been done on AZ, not on an outside website, I think this would be a nice tool to have available. Since I am on here almost daily I can volunteer to keep the list updated if someone PMs me their info or posts in the sticky.
