Well, it's been about 3 weeks now, so I thought I'd give you an update as to how Zach, aka "Reverend" is doing in his training working towards being a certified pool table mechanic.

In these pictures, this is a Diamond 7ft ProAm he just finished working on. All the extra glue has been scraped off the sides of the slate, cloth glued down tight, and perfect as you can see in the corner pocket, and rails covered to perfection, nice and tight. He's going to be with me for about another 3-4 weeks yet, because he's still got a lot to learn, but let me tell you, this kid...he's 25yrs old...so I still call him a kid since I have a few daughters almost in their 40's:grin: but anyways...this kid is scary to teach, he's like a big sponge that could soak up all the spilled oil in the Gulf of Mexico...and still want more oil. Even at this point of training, I'd put him up against anyone in the country working as a mechanic...as all they could do is tie with him in the same work being done.

Phoenix, is going to have one badazz mechanic here shortly, and Diamond's going to have a new over the road installer, thank god, cuz I'm getting old, and need a break:grin:

Here's a couple of pictures of the pocket facing work Zach has learned to do, I couldn't do the work any better:grin:

Here's some pictures of Zach's work on a Gabriels Vector 9ft Professional, Simonis 860HR cloth glued down to the sides of the slate using my system of attachment, and my RKC pocket folds, and cloth installed so tight it looks painted on.

Jimmy M...pay attention:grin:

You are truly the best mechanic! I can tell he is learning a lot from you. My only question is when are you and/or him coming to the Atlanta, GA area???? :) I think it is time for some new cloth for my table!!! :)

You already have a great table mechanic in your backyard...Mark Gregory:grin: he can do anything I can do...well, except cut a slate in half...he's not THAT crazy:grin::grin::grin::grin::grin:

Glen, do you mind if I copy your posting and put it up on AZPoolScene.com to reach all the pool players that do not come on AZBilliards (I know, hard to believe, right)

Well, look at it this way, I'm not training Zach for my health, so I guess you'll need Zach's phone number then so here it is 480-779-7385:grin:

Thanks RKC,
I will definitely get in touch with him....someone else mention Mark was a great table mechanic in my area.

Zach, cutting a Diamond 7ft ProAm one piece, 1 inch slate in half so we can install it in the customers home.

Next up for Zach, Diamondizing/Cobrasizing a few Brunswick GC's to round out his training, will post them pictures as well shortly. After that, training on setting up a Diamond 9ft Professional 3 piece slate with the Diamond leveling system, 3 floors down in the basement of a customers home back up in San Francisco, but he's not there right now, so we're leaving San Fran headed to Los Angles to work on the Brunswick's, will return to San Fran on Wed or so:grin:

So Zach lives in Arizona Cobra? If so that is great and I will certainly send work his way if he is. Kolby's Diamond could use a little help as can some of the other tables like most pool rooms out there.

Yes, Zach lives in Mesa, so he's a local, but not a transplant, as he's lived there his whole life....so he's use to the HEAT, whereas I am NOT!!!

What kind of Show you runnin' out there, Glen?!

I see a baby footprint on there.
:bow-down:

If you look closer, you'll see the face of mother Mary too, but on a more serious note...I'd switch from seeing that Walmart Optometrist for your glasses....he's prescribed a pair of glasses that are waaaaaaaay to strong for ya buddy, so take them back...and trade them in on the weaker pair that just allows you to see into the future...instead of the pair that help you see things that just aren't there...unless your an artist and need help painting a picture of Jesus and need a clear view;):rotflmao1:
