World championships women 9-ball - the draw

The field is full of players you never heard of from China, Taipei and Korea. Weird draw - Allison drew Gerda first round and winner will probably play Kelly next. Vivian and Monica are together in the draw as well. I'm guessing that a player from China ends up winning.

Gerda, Allison, Kelly, and Vivian are all playing for different countries...I believe that's why. Johnnyt
 
Hmmm, Julie Kelly is listed as USA. Anybody know anything about that?

I see what you mean Jay. Japan and Taipei are pigeonholed together, USA and Canada, Brits positioned to knock each other out. But it could also work against China having their players spread evenly in the field.
