Hello everyone,
Here is the last Matt Crisp cue I will have until the next batch comes up again. The forearm is pau ferro with some highly figured bubinga as the handle (I think he dipped into Eric's wood stash for these ) Cue weighs 19.4 oz, 58 in, 13 mm shaft, 3/8x10 brass pin. Natural phenolic joint and buttcap with some decorative rings as well. The pictures arent the best and the figure is alot better in person. Cue is unchalked and ready for action. Price...SOLDshipped and insured within the US. Thanks for looking.

Another good looking stick, do you think you could get a better shot of the rings by the joint? Can't really tell what I'm seing...

Sure thing, these pics were horrible. I will take a few now. Give me 15 mins.

Here are a few more photos of the ringwork and the bubinga handle.

I have had several pms asking if this is Eric's brother. This is Eric Crisp's brother Matt.

Hows the cue play ?

I havent chalked this one up but hit a ball or two with no chalk, it hits very solid from what I can tell with no chalk. I kept one of the first three he sent me though because it weighed what I was used to and hit very nice. Should be a solid player. I love mine.

Are these cues cored all the way through? I noticed there's no buzz ring where the a-joint would be. J/w...

The handle is probably cored because of the figure. But the forearm I don't think is cored, can't remember exactly as it's been several months since I seen the cues in progress.

Buzz rings aren't necessary in modern cues. Ever since epoxy was created & introduced to cue building, the need to buffer the end grain to end grain joints was eliminated. I don't use buzz rings in my cues, never have. Never needed to. He doesn't, either. His "A" joint is nearly identical to mine. I learned early that if I had to use a buzz ring to prevent "A" joint noise, then my construction wasn't good enough. So I figured out a way to construct the cue with no buzz rings and never looked back. Matt's "A" joint is nearly identical to mine. The strength is in the tenon/bore fusion, not the joint faces. Hope this helps

I talked to Matt yesterday and was just as Eric stated, the handle is cored but the forearm is not cored on this cue.
