huebler shaft pin size? replacement? - 09-18-2010, 08:43 AM

I have an old huebler collecting dust, needs a new shaft but i cant seem to find any specs on huebler shaft pin size. i'm thinking about getting a black dot shaft as a replacement. does anyone know the pin size? its not the metal 5/16-18 for sure, any input would be helpful. thanks in advance!

You seem sure it isn't, so you should either post pictures or take it to a machinist and ask him to identify it. He will use a caliper to measure the diameter and a thread gauge to measure the pitch of the threads. Should take two minutes.

dld
you may be right, i'll need to take another look at it.
if so, i just wasted a perfectly good thread.
