Carom cue and two sneakies
Alright, I have three cues up for sale, all unknown-ish.
First is the carom cue. Jaguar Professional
Maple nose with unknown wood in handle.
Butt = 30" to end of bumper, 10.5 oz
4 points with 10 veneers, butterfly veneers at butt.
Three shafts.
Shaft 1 = 28", 4.3 oz, 12.4 at ferrule
Shaft 2 = 27.125", 4.1 oz, 12.45 at ferrule
Shaft 3 = 27.125", 4.2 oz, 12.43 at ferrule, wobble, but still playable
All of these shafts are nice old honey colored. When shaft 3 is on the cue and rolled on the table, the tip and ferrule leave the table. This cue is actually really cool. I would give the condition a solid 80% as the finish it used. I was amazed at how easy it was to control the cue ball with this cue. Granted it is a light cue, topping 15 oz with the pool shaft, but it moves the balls. All of my other cues are 19.2 up to 21, but I fell right in stride with this cue. Three good dings where finish was removed. Looks like it was done a long time ago.
Not really sure what to ask for this cue as I know nothing of carom cues, but I'll say SOLD. I would like to think that someone will let me know if I am out of line with the price.
Second cue is an older sneaky.
5/16x18 pin, Brass
Brass joint with black plastic/phenolic/? joint collars.
Shaft = 28.5", 3.6 oz, 12.62mm at ferrule, piloted with wood collar
Needs a new ferrule, as it is out of round (I'm assuming home tip repair job). Finish is nice an beat up. Joint collars kinda loose. Great old school cue. I would say its from the 60's. The joint wall is thin and the pin is like an Adam's, but with a longer tip. I can take photos if requested. Not perfectly straight, but totally playable. Straight grain maple with an orange honeytoned butt wood. Points are not even. Just wood under the bumper.
Gave to a friend with no cue
Last is another unknown sneaky, but this one is a three piece.
5/16x18 pins.
Shaft = 28.5", 4.3 oz, 12.5mm at ferrule(which looks like micarta), flush brass insert.
Nose = 13", 5 oz
Butt handle = 15.5", 10.5 oz, Hairline crack that runs with the grain. This cue is in great shape. To me, it seems like someone first couple attempts to make a sneaky. The shaft is awesome. Hits like my R6. Solid and stiff hit. There is some extra meat on this shaft. The ferrule is 12.5, but it jumps up to 12.77 at the wood. You can feel the step up. This would be a great cue to have the shaft tapered to your liking. Just wood under the bumper.
