First the tale, then the pics:

Way back in the early 70's, a buddy came to me...wanting me to help him get a great deal on a cue by helping him order two of them. He really had to pressure me, because $125 was a LOT of money for a cue & case back then. But, eventually, I relented.

Shortly after getting this cue, I got married, found myself with a biz to run, a child to raise....well, you know the drill. The cue went in the closet.

Decades later, retired, child gone, Cindy & I decided to take up pool playing again for recreation. So, we drug my cue & her old Adam cue out of the closet.

First time I took it in a pool hall, it didn't take us long to figure out that I had something kind of special...so it went back in the closet, I bought a more modern cue to play with.

Just took some pics with a cheap Nikon point & shoot...hope they're good enough for you to enjoy. :)

Naw, I'll never sell it...how can I? That's my name under the ring. :D

old cue & case

I think you have a Palmer cue an case. But to be for sure there is a site ou there called The Palmer cue collector. You might check with him. Very nice looking cue though.

Thanks. Yes, it's a Palmer model M from the 2nd catalog. I don't think the case is original Palmer though. Don't know who made it. Everything is original. I've played with both shafts, but the cue has never been restored or refinished in any way. Even the tips are original. :D

(edit) Everything is as I bought it new...

Thanks Lenny...yes, I still play with it once in a while. But truth be known, my Josey has a much nicer hit. Back in the 70's, stiff & heavy was the rule. Slower cloth in those days..

(edit) Gotta confess...the pre flag masters in the pic was a recent addition...to complete the showpiece. ;)
