How about a Road Player hall of fame

It's hard to find info on many of the great road players, especially those that rarely played tournaments.

A hall of fame could bring more notoriety to these guys.
 
Many of the BEST will never have names, just your money you lost to some stranger. That is what they did, came, went, won money, a few knew who they really were.

I nominate Howard Barrett for the Road Player Hall of Fame.
 
There are far to many players out there that will never get into any Hall of Fame. That's one of the reasons, we started The New England Pool and Billiard Hall of Fame.

Putting two players a year into the BCA Hall of Fame is somewhat ridiculous. There are far to many deserving players out there that will never be inducted.

I'm for anything that helps recognize the people out there that deserve to be recognized.

The One Pocket Hall of Fame covers not just One Pocket, but also Banks and "Lifetime Pool in Action" -- basically, the entire "action" side of pool. The BCA Hall of Fame covers the tournament champions and industry favorites, and we cover the action games and action players. Our "Lifetime" award is definitely geared to road players. So far, we have been focusing on living legends of action, but we are talking about some posthumous recognition too.

Our Hall of Fame is headed into its seventh year, and our annual dinner at the Derby City Classic has been a sold out affair every year. The one thing we do lack, is much press coverage from the mainstream pool media. Surprise, surprise, they prefer to focus on the BCA hall.
