Happy Holidays to All!

Been good this year? Do you really expect someone to have noticed? Nothing I hate worse than being good all year and getting a pair of house shoes or a tie. Do like I do and just buy your own Christmas present...

This is going to be a one time offering. I'm starting at my rock bottom price, which is SOLD shipped in the CONUS, and I won't be playing the old "start off high and discount it every day" deal on this cue. It is a great playing cue with Dave Kikel's typical attention to detail, and frankly, if it doesn't sell at this price, it goes back in my personal collection. I might be giving it away at this price, but I won't be paying anyone to take it off my hands...:D

The cue is made of highly figured cocobolo and what I believe to be either Chatke kok or bloodwood. There are six hi-lo points with no veneers and six rectangular windows in the butt. Dave has done an amazing job of making the grain appear to be continuous in the butt from window to window, and I think the points are all cut from one piece, so the grain is continuous there, too.

The cue has two shafts which are both slightly over 13mm in diameter, and the cue weighs 18.6-18.8 oz. depending on the shaft used. The tips are medium density and black, but I don't know what kind they are. They are in great shape, with one almost new. The ferrules are synthetic.

The joint and shafts have black phenolic sleeves and a wood to wood contact. The pin is radial. A set of joint protectors is pictured and included with the cue. There is amazingly detailed ringwork at all positions.

The wrap is one of the nicest I've ever seen. It is textured leather and the seam is almost invisible. You can't feel where the seam is either. It is very utilitarian and feels great in your hand!
I know that hit is subjective, but this cue feels like a one piece cue to me. The shafts fit tightly on the radial pin and the resonance and feedback to the hands is almost hard to explain, but makes for an awesome playing cue.

The cue rolls straight with both shafts (tested on a lathe). It is in excellent shape. There is no noteworthy damage or dings. It's been used, but been well cared for.

Don't miss this chance to buy yourself a great Christmas present! You deserve it! Thanks for looking and feel free to ask any questions you might have...

Best to all,

Steve

The cue is sold... Thanks to all who took a look and for those that showed interest!

Big thanks, Q-Street! Hit 'em straight...

Happy Holidays to All!

Not sure if this KQ is f/s but...

I think this might be osaga orange that Dave used in the nose and butt, I could be mistaken though. Pretty coco too! Lovely Kikel f/s, or not

(Was the last post a mistake and in fact this Kikel was sold months ago, or was the last post the new owner just using the old thread?? Am I missing something? :scratchhead:)

He is just using the old thread. You can see that he was the one who originally bought this Kikel from Hunter.
