Full-splice Scott Gracio cue for sale.
I got a call last week and a cue I've had on order will be ready soon. So, I need to liquidate a few items.
Specs are:
58" length, 1 shaft w/melamine ferrule, 5/16-14 SS short joint, textured leather wrap, 19.60 oz/ 557 gr total weight, 15.60 oz/443 gr butt, 4.00 oz/114 gr shaft, 12.8 mm tip, balance point at 18.5".
Several of you probably saw when Scott posted this cue on AZ. He was tweaking his full-splice jig and process and this was a practice cue. He stated up front that the points were not quite right and discounted it accordingly, so I jumped on it. He thought, and I completely agree, that the cue would be a great player and he couldn't trash it.
It is bloodwood into curly maple, with a lightly textured leather wrap and seven veneers (counting paper). The fit is superb. Miters on the veneers are super tight.
The cue plays super solid, is balanced the way I like (slightly forward) and is easy to move the cue ball with. I don't know squat about deflection, but it has a shorter ferrule and I don't notice a big difference. Scott was also super easy to work with.
After I had the cue for a few months I noticed that the finish has two spots where it has turned milky colored on the buttcap, as shown in the pics below. You can't feel anything on those spots, and the rest of the finish looks perfect. Scott has offered to fix the finish in a post further down the thread.
Sold shipped to CONUS.
