Just a heads up, this is the for sale section and you may have better luck in the cue and case gallery.

Not thinking it is a Huebler

I am not thinking it is a huebler... Yes the nylon insert for the shaft is there, however the marking is not something that he had done. A few other guys should comment in further detail. Nice looking cue though.

ditto with the 2 guys before me....
put it in the cue and case gallery if you want a good ID on it, unless it's for sale.
The pin, nylon insert, and rings look like a Huebler. But like FLASH said... I don't think that marking would be put on a Huebler.

He knows a good deal about Huebler's from what I know.
Best of luck man.

Not an expert ...
but I think the small round bumper makes it a very early Huebler.
I have an early no-name one that has that bumper, as well as the brass pin. I bought it used around 77 or 79.

I think it's a early Huebler. Someone had one on here but it had a H and a higher number, it had points a hoppe ring and no bumper.

apologize on the huebler

I did some more research and i do remember seeing a few older hueblers similar. So, it is certainly possible that it is one of his very early cues. I thought i remembered him not marking the cues... But i would love to know more about the cue.

Very Early Huebler:

It is one of Paul Hueblers earliest Renaissance cues. They date just prior to the Vertical logo. They actually are HR-1 through HR-8. Look close and the paint probably is out of part of the R. Approx. 1974

the cue is in great condition

here are some better pictures im pretty sure it says HI1 the cue does not look worn or rubbed out it in great shape.

Yup, It's a Huebler

I've got an identical cue sitting next to me. Mine has the Huebler logo vertically and a brown screw in bumper.

Yep, its HI 1. Probably stands for Huebler Industries 1. Is it straight together and apart? if so great find.

The cue is definately an early Huebler from one of Paul's Early lines. I grew up in St. Louis, Mo and Paul started selling his cues there after he Opened Huebler Industries, this occured in the 1972 to 1974 time frame. Before that Paul was Build cues for A.E.Schmit in St. Louis, now I do not have any catalog's and I don't remeber the exact date I first saw that Logo, but if I remeber correctly it could not have been made any later than 75 or 76 possible earlier.

Hope this helps, and Peace Out:smile:
