yesterday i watched some of the streaming TAR 10ball. i enjoyed the matches but the commentary was abysmal. a spectacular carom on the 10ball was made winning the game and all the guy in the booth could muster was a muted; "wow"

with all of the attention being paid to attracting new viewers to the sport of pool, they should start by getting some commentators who are actually of the living or AT LEAST paying attention to the game rather than wandering off on a foggy tangent.

i got so disgusted that i tried watching without sound but eventually closed the window. what does this say about how pool is being marketed when even avid pool players can't watch.
 
Was Justin on the stream? He was pretty sick the night before, so I could see him sitting it out...which leaves less-experienced folks to choose from. I see your point though as TAR generally relies on their friends & associates (avid pool fans at least) for commentary with an occasional cameo by a pro...or even poker players.

It costs money to hire the likes of Billy & Grady, which TAR & its sponsors can not afford for a 3-5 day event. Simple economics of a free stream.

In the end, I'm just happy there is a stream at all. It may not be perfect, but its a lot better than it was 5 years ago...pre-TAR/OTR/Pool4u/Big Truck....

That was probably me. I have been sick as hell for the last two days. I know the commentary sucks but its kind of hard to focus when your heads throbbing and a never ending river of snot is leaking out your head.

My suck ass commentary continues today on my mission to to piss off as many avid pool fans as possible. See you there.
 
I know I really enjoyed the match. It looked an sounded first class to me. I feel to many people think all should be perfect when they shell out a few bucks. It is what it is a winner take all money match for ten grand. Not the Academy awards or the grand opening of Walmart. Oh thanks for the stream I paid for the hole package I hope it goes threw Sunday. Skip
