My new player!!!

GoTulane

Shizzle-rific
Well, I just picked up a new cue - at least it is new to me. Has a few battle scars, but is super straight and shoots very nicely. I was looking for a nice inexpensive dufferin cue or inexpensive dufferin conversion cue, and I believe what I found was much higher than my first expectations. I now know why people flock to have one of his cues - even though mine is just a lowly dufferin conversion. But it does has his signature engraved butt cap - though it is a thin white one(which looks to be ivory).
I was just in the right place at the right time, and after shooting with this last night I am glad I took the risk to pick it up - since I wasn't sure if it would truly be a Bill Schick conversion when it arrived via the mail.
But it plays really well. And I am very happy with my ebay purchase!!!!

So here are some picks for you to see what I picked up:

Let me know what you think!!

Thanks,

Michael

yeah - been busy with work

Glad to see you're still alive!

Nice pickup...

Yeah, since I am now employed, I have very little time to play on azb like I used to(during my 9 months of unemployment), but I love my new job. With the new job I am just starting to build my cue purchasing fund back up, and should be on here a little more frequently looking for some cues. Of course, that would be when I am not playing with my new schick.:D

I am pretty proud of my new score, and the guy might have a fancier one for sale soon which I will be picking up when/if it becomes available.
And as everyone knows - all my cues have a price to pry them out of my hands:thumbup:

Glad to be back online and on AZB!!

Nice player there! Great to see you are employed again! After 21 months of unemployment, I got a job that I'm supposed to start this week. And within a day of that one I also got another job offer!

Anyway, good to hear everything is going well! I'll have to send you a cue soon too!

Very nice cue Michael.

Congratulations on the cue and the job!

Thanks for sharing,
Chris

Thanks for all the replies!!!

Yeah, life is doing much better, and I have lost 45lbs in the last 3 months along with eating healthier and living better. And now my pool game is starting to come back, and hopefully I will be picking up some more cues soon to keep trying out.

BTW - what is the value on a dufferin conversion like this from Bill Schick? I think I got a good deal, but just wondering on what is current market value.
You know me:thumbup:

Just a guess, I'd say $850-900ish, based upon your pics...

Thanks Ross!!!

Yeah, I was kinda thinking the same thing, so I got a little deal, since I got a case and a axiom sneaky pete with the cue;)

So who wants to trade for it?

Looking for a titlist conversion, or some other wrapless cue - hehe:D
