Earl tossed out of SBE...

The whole tournament. The tournament director, Frank Delpizo, (sp?) and Earl had words in an earlier round. Apparently Earl just did something again, and Frank wasted no time in ejecting him.

Frank told the commentating booth that Earl was going to eject him
before the match even started.
So I dont know how much chance Earl had.

I don't like Frank Delpizo, every year he has a problem either with one of the players, or his staff, he got have to stop this..... he even didn't allow Earl to be on the tv.table even though everybody else wanted to watch him, I say remove Frank Delpizo!

Hmm, well that's a shame. Can't make a full judgement without more details though. Im guessing it must have been some sort of rules disagreement?

I would rather see a great player shoot pool than a director enforce a rule unless Earl was jumping up and down on top of the table or something.

I'm glad I didn't spend money to go all they way to the tournament and see that.

Hmmm, well this definatly sounds like a ref with an agenda.

I have no idea of what the details are here, who was right or wrong, and I really like Earl, but I hope that the rules are enforced equally for everyone without any favoritism for any player.

I'm sure the ref had Allen's blessings before he threw Earl out. I could see some of the old Earl coming back at the end of the Masters. Johnnyt

I have absolutely no idea of what happened so I've no opinion on this particular incident but I do respectfully disagree with the idea of letting "the great ones" get preferential treatment. It is exactly this kind of stuff that needs to stop. This is the thought process behind stars being able to show up late for their match and getting a pass while lesser known players get forfeited. It's just not right that the rules don't apply evenly to everyone.

I guess the good news for Earl fans is that we can look forward to watching him play Shane next week on TAR.

Earl was getting wound up when he was playing Alex. He and the ref had a little verbal thing the whole match. At one point Alex took a break and Earl grabbed a couple of balls and placed them on the table. It looked like he was going to hit a couple of practice shots. The ref came over and louder than one would expect said "Earl! No!" They had a minor exchange but I couldn't hear what they said to each other. When Alex came back Earl told him "I don't enjoy playing you at all. Really I don't." Earl was trying to rack the balls and seemed to be having problems. He was complaining that the rack was crap. He kept looking for the ref, but he had left the arena area. Not sure who was sharking who on that one. Anyway, you could tell Earl was getting ready to explode. I've seen it before. I thought it was going to be in that match. I didn't get to see his next match.

True dat, but i think a lot more people may bet on earl with a line, if it was'nt for earls short fuse. I respect earl he never hesitates to state his beliefs. To me that is admirable. But in his mind does he understand he costs himself money sometimes? Or maybe he just don't care?

From watching and hearing of his antics i think he thinks it's him against the world, like no one is on his side. Does he even realize his fan base?

I gotta wonder what the line would be if earl had the temperment of svb.

No, no, no, that's not how it's done! Details schmetails. You're supposed to come on here and pick a side before you know the facts and rant and rave and shout and go stark-raving looney until there is spittle dribbling from your mouth!

Geez, get with the program party pooper!
