i puchased a doc frye cue and engraved on the side of the steel joint is:

Bill Duron
The Holy Cup
WTD

as well as a drawing of what looks like eyes and a nose

and in the face of the joint is says

WTD 159-38-5519

i've tried googling it and no real results. i was hoping the the helpfull az members might come up with something. thanx.

The SS is registered for William Duross. The N is just sloppy ss. He was in a car accident at the age of 21. This was his cue. The Holy Cup is actually a reference to his father who had a heart attack while on duty for the Philadelphia police at the age of 35. It actually reads the "Holy Cop".

I was able to track down his sister and spoke with her today about the cue and both her father and brother. She was delighted to hear the cue was still around and it bought back some good memories. I will be sending her photos of the cue today.

Other than when Timothy Robbins, the nutzo pitcher, was wearing women's panties, that was one of my most favorite movies.
