I'm in with everyone else about having a great time at SBE! My hats off to Hopkins for running this event and to everyone else who makes this possible. The cues were amazing, the pro players hanging out were awesome, and I got to meet tons of AZ'ers (too many to name) and pretty much laughed all weekend long.

My partner in crime for most of the weekend was AZer 'El Beau'. Although our GPS was hellbent on getting us lost we managed to hit most of the attractions. Which included, Classic (Classique) Billiards somewhere out in Blair Witch country, Maggianos (ate way too much there), Cheesecake Factory (ate too much there too!), Ruth Chris Steak House (this steak is burnt!), Four Kings Kenny's party (AWESOME!), and of course, Room 1411 & 1417.

Little Kenny, thanks so much for throwing the house party. It was good to finally meet you in person. The food and stories were excellent. Hearing all the stories about Art Cantando and meeting his family were especially nice. Sandra Brady was absolutely charming and Barry S. baked up some pretty good cookies too! Big Gian (Drawman) is a walking billiards encyclopedia and a genuinely nice nice nice guy. Thanks again for all your hospitality.

I heard quite a few great/hilarious stories that I can't repeat online. But let me tell you, some funny ass stuff goes down at SBE! Sure, there are the most amazing cues ever on hand and top pros all around and all that.... but the best part of the entire event really is seeing old friends and making new ones. I already can't wait till next year.

Thanks for the memories!

Anyway, if you've never been to the SBE it's pretty much an overwhelming gathering of cue collections, case makers, cue makers, vendors, tournaments, pro's, and fans.
Basically, a pool enthusiasts dream vacation. :)

The bottom pic, 2nd cue from the left - do you have any other photos of that cue? It looks pretty crazy! What's the one in the middle, a Ginacue?

unique cue

I have no idea who made that cue. Maybe Cornerstone can chime in and post the details. It was definitely creative and beautiful.
I think this picture is also from that cue..

And yes, the middle cue is a Ginacue. Ernie's most creative cue made to date. The details and concept are awesome. Was great to have the chance to see it up close and personal. Stunning cue.
