I feel like I've got to put a shameless plug in for the Break Rack. I got one for Xmas last year, and have been using it once a week since then. What a difference it's made in my game. Thru experimentation I now know where to hit the cueball to make it jump up off the table and land somewhere in the center of the table. It doesn't always work, but if it doesn't I know I didn't hit it where I should have. By the way that place on the cueball changes depending on where your breaking from. It's easy and fun to spend 20 minutes practicing the break. I've found I'm not hitting the cueball as hard, because accuracy not force spreads the balls. I also have the book,"The Great Break Book" by Charlie Bond and found a few secrets that have also helped my break. If your looking for a Xmas gift for yourself, get one.
