thanks duane. you're right. mikes cues play consistently solid. btw this is not a purchased blank as mike makes all his own.
 
I've seen this puppy in person and pictures do this cue no justice... If I was in the market for a new cue this would be the first one I picked up. This purpleheart is amazingly deep.
 
purpleheart is my favorite hit-wise, very stable also, great looking cue and most likely a great shooting cue.

I've never played with one of Mike's cues, and don't care for sleeved joints, BUT, I bet this cue plays lights out!!!
And, at under $400 there should be a line around the block to get one of these!!!

How would you describe the taper?
