Hello everyone,
I told a friend I would try to sell his Meucci cue for him. It has one shaft and I actually have a shaft that matches it that I was going to try to sell along with it. So, I get the cue from him Wednesday night and go to take pictures, etc... of it last night and notice right off the bat that ferrule of his cue is not a standard Meucci ferrule. It's shorter and of a different material.
My first thought was that the old ferrule had been replaced, but the shaft is the correct length and does not appear to have been cut. The ring-work looks correct, so I'm stumped as to what to think about this.
Here are some pics:
The top shaft is the shaft that comes with the cue. The bottom shaft is the one I own.
Anyone care to offer some insight as to why there is a difference? Seems I read once that Meucci has used the same ferrule since the 80's. My friend did not buy this cue new, but thinks it is a 95-11 and not a HOF-1.
Thanks in advance for any input-
J.
