Are there any Japanese Custom Cue Makers? - 08-06-2011, 09:46 AM

I know there's a production line called Adams, but I was wondering if there was a Japanese Custom Cue maker out there.

I believe Mezz Cues offer customs in addition to their production line, no?

Mezz offers a very high end series, but they are all models that are repeated. Adam has a custom line called Musashi that is basically another high end line of cues, however you can have a Musashi tailor made to your specs.
Jun Shimizu heads up a shop that makes Keith/Andy Custom cues inspired by Juns admiration for his favorite two cue makers Keith Josey and Andy Gilbert. He makes a great cue, but they are priced to sell in Japan which means you can get the same quality and most likely a more valuable name with another custom cue maker.
There is another custom cue maker that makes cues and deals them through TCCP but I can't seem to remember his name.

I don't know, i'll have to check.

You think they have "bespoke" options, I.E., you get to choose the design, or is it more of a, our guy made just 1 cue that looks like this?

Mezz have a link to their 'Exceed' site on the main page. There are a wide variety of options for you to personalize a cue.
NB - It is in Japanese but you can use Babelfish, Google translate or another translation option to assist you when viewing it.

Sometimes it is easier to deal with the agent in your own region. You can contact the Mezz USA team and they can help with available options.
If you PM me I can also help. I am the agent for Australia & New Zealand.
