I was wondering if anybody had picture of red and black cues that they would like to post as I'm thinking of getting one made.

Here's mine, a Coker Ebony and Tulipwood:

WOW, Raist!! On that first one . . . as Paris would say, "THAT'S HOT!"

Actually i liked the second cue (the one that got away) better. the triple veneers, or what laurie oddly calls triple laminates.. looks stunning.. but one thing about ebony SWs which i dislike, is that they are usually a tad heavy at 20 Oz plus...

Laurie's terminology is closer to correct, IMO.

Normally in woodworking and other fields, a "veneer" is on the top surface and often used for aesthetics to hide the common material underneath.

Cue "point veneers" are really made from a laminating technique and are framing enhancement with cross-graining structure, as opposed to hiding the wood underneath.

Well, I cant' post a pic, but I'm having the long term recluse Ernie Martinez wake from the dead to build me a cue consisting of an ebony foream/ Paduak (padauk) ? handle, silver ring work throughout. I got a look at it without finish and it is an outstanding color combination.

I looked at using bloodwood, coco, and others, but the orangish/red paduak fit the bill.

Regards,

Doug

I'm on the freaking waiting list...

I have an ebony Southwest at 20 oz. I too would prefer in the 19-19.5 range.

I am on the waiting list and plan on having them build my next one ebony/ebony IF I can get it 19-19.5.

Any thoughts?
