Hi I've been building websites for 7 years looking to help out the custom cue makers that need a new website site or need a better one will trade my work for a cue pm me and let's talk

Unless you are building a website to trade for a cue, or something billiard/pool rated. You should not be posting your services on this forum, as it is considered spam....

He is offering website services to trade for a cue. Did you not read the original post?

And yet, none of his listed Reference Sites have anything to do with our Industry.

I agree with a Pletho (a first!) - this doesn't belong here.

It's not pool related, the OP is really just promoting his website business under the guise of "will trade for cues".

To be honest with you, I did not see any of that in the original post..... I must be blind........

My apologies for sure........

Was it edited perhaps afterwards? If it was done within a certain amount of time, it would not show up as edited... I still could be 100% wrong, so I will take the blame.........

Give the guy the benefit of the doubt. 'Our Industry'? We play pool. Is that ALL we do? I'd wager that the majority of folks here do other things aside from playing pool.

This guy plays pool and designs websites. If a client comes to him and asks him to design a site, do you think he says "Sorry, I play pool and the site you're asking me to design isn't in my hobby, er industry".

C'mon now people, stop being so petty.

I hope the OP designs 100 sites for 100 Szambotis so all the 'holier than thou wanted for sale purists' have a stroke.

:)

I am not selling anything I have a skill and i like to play pool so i will trade a website for a cue I will not sell any one anything I love this site and am just trying to help some cue makers out thats all.

nice websites, the first one is first class
hope you find good looking cue and help someone here

I think the OP has offered a very good service to the AZ community and should be supported and encouraged rather than being dismissed.

He has indicated that he would be interested in working for a cue as opposed to money. Frankly speaking if he had wanted money i still see no wrong, since it is still Pool related if he is selling his service to a Custom Cue Maker.

I for one would love to see more cue makers owning a website where they can upload their crafts with information about them and their pricing with contacts. AZ's a great source but information is just too scattered and not focused and more often than not information about the cue maker might not be accurate since it did not come from the cue maker himself.

Also most cue makers are not very tech savvy, so running a website will sound too intimidating and complex. If someone can help them run their website, upload pictures and information whenever required i'm sure this service would do the community and cue makers good.

Infact if AZ had a "homepage" for cue makers that'd be a great platform as well.

The OP is fine with what he is doing. The forum rules here are mon billiard items for trade (not cash sale) for billiard related items only.

Perhaps his wording was not perfect. However it is very. Clear he wants to trade his services for a billiard related item.

Ok in my book. Rules police should know the rules before then try to enforce them.

Oh... Yes we did JV

Only checked out the gynecology website...

what... you didn't?

Liars... :D

Take off your jacket and stay awhile.

Merry Christmas, adam

Have you done any websites for any cue makers yet? If you have perhaps having a link might help.

You mentioned that you have 5 cue makers that want sites now, perhaps you can list who they are as that might help your cause and definitely inspire others to jump onboard.

If you put up your price plans for sites, it'll help people understand the cost too. Because i know many people who still assume creating website is a very costly affair.

You might want to consider a retaining service option for cue makers since they update their gallery and for sale option pretty often and most of them probably won't know how to do that on their website, by opting for your retaining service you can entitle them to X amount of updates monthly for photos and specs.

Like i said, i do hope that most cue makers have a website and with the recent news from AZ owners about not allowing cue makers to sell their crafts on the For Sale section your service couldn't come at a more apt timing.

Good luck! :)
