I just played league and videoed my buddy stroking a ball and eventually took a shot at it myself. Here are the links to his stroke and mine.

Post a link up to show your stroke.

When I got home I noticed I was major elevated - always something to work on.

I am going to try to do a whole lot more with pool this next year and video will be part of it. I will be videoing all of the straight pool at the Derby again this year along with DMGWalsh and Marop.

I fixed the links. I watched myself pretty still not too bad but I got a little hitch at the back and yeah I am elevated.

You pocket balls nicely.

Pointing out the obvious, you do have an extended elbow drop on some shots, and they are not the ones that I expected to see such an exaggerated drop.

That is something you can consider cleaning up.

Not really deliberately filming my stroke... but the balls went into the pockets..

Jeff Sroke seems a little quick and jerky to me. Try pulling back slower and smoother.

He may want to try putting a pause at the end of his backstroke, to really slow and control things down a bit.

no reason in fixing the elbow drop as long as he drops it after contacting the cb ( which is obvious he is doing after contact), also many drop the elbow because is more comfortable to them.
He could try to fix the chicken wing.. try to bring your arm more towards the body and try to keep it perpendicular to the ground..

Is his chicken wing keeping him from stroking straight?

Not from what I can see.

So, in my opinion, there isn't any need to worry about it.

Also I stated that he could consider cleaning up the elbow drop. It is up to him. My concern is when the timing is a bit off and the drop sneaks into the stroke prior to cue ball contact.

Again that is up to him.
