ID Titlist Year and Type of Wood

Aloha all,

Can one or more of you cue experts please help me identify the type of wood that this cue is made of and also the approximate year it was made?

I know that the Brunswick Titlist labels varied a bit over the years, but I'm hoping someone could maybe put a date range on this particular label.

I'm adding a couple more pictures of the cue in ROUGH stage, but with a little better look of the wood now that some of the old wood and finish has been removed. It is far from being done, but I hope that these pictures may help one of our "wood experts" better identify the type.

The original picture is not that great and it was also too bright. I've darkened the picture a bit without changing the colors or saturation so that the wood can be seen a bit better.

Can anyone maybe identify it now?

The cue has had only one light pass of the lathe and it isn't anywhere near done yet, so the true color probably will look a bit different once it is completed.
