Some notable players are highlighted in bold lettering on the list below.

Who is your pick to win?

Marty, you should be ashamed of yourself.

Jam, I don't know Marty, nor do I agree with his ethnic characterizations, but I would like to know how he really feels and why ;)

As far as the Joss tour though, I have been at and played in a few Joss events and heard more than one player complain about the skim. Especially the calcutta which IMHO should be left alone. My reasoning is that the prizes at most events barely cover expenses for a player who makes his living at pool (that's 1st place money). I also know of at least one room that was a regular Joss stop that has no more association with it.

Next Joss event that KM plays in bring a calculator and add the calcutta bids and then compare that to the payouts.

Bill O, I don't think it would be worth your while to find out how Marty Herman feels because he is emotionally unstable and sometimes cannot control his actions.

Well, Bill O, I get around to a whole bunch of tournaments of various sizes, and suffice it to say, I am of the opinion that the Joss Northeast 9-Ball Tour has the HIGHEST payouts with the most money falling in the players' pockets on the regional tournament trail.

And as well, I know of MANY pool rooms which continue to host Joss Tour events at their pool rooms because it is popular with their patrons.

Believe me, my counterpart would be the first one squawking if there was anything funny going on with the money, and he isn't afraid to voice his opinion.

LOL, Mike!:D Keith absolutely adores Turning Stone Casino. There's no stopping him from going to the casino games. He's like a kid in the candy store when it comes to throwing those dice. Frankie White from New Jersey, who's coming, and Keith at the craps table is a two-man show. The pit bosses know them both on a first-name basis. :p

This tournament is going to be FANTASTIC. For anybody who has never been to Verona, NY, you are in for a treat. The staff at the Turning Stone really do like pool people and treat everybody like kings and queens. The rooms are so comfortable, AND there is a Starbucks Coffee store right there in the main lobby. The buffet, one of the many restaurants, is the best, no canned food here, everything FRESH and delicious, especially the Prime Rib. YUMMIE! :)

Man, I just hope Mother Nature is good to us next week for the drive up from D.C. However, my Alpine-equipped front-wheel drive Volvo handles snow better than an SUV or truck, a great snow car.

Picture taken at last Joss/Turning Stone $25,000-added tournament in August of 2005, Frankie, Keith, and Young Gun Mickey enjoying themselves to the fullest!

Here's a nice little snapshot taken last year on the Joss tournament trail of Keith, Bob Maidhoff (owner of Drexeline Billiards in Drexel Hills, PA) who plays GREAT and did well last year at Turning Stone on a field of green and the Blackjack tables, and Allen Hopkins. Bob Maidhoff is an asset to the sport, always supporting regional tours at his pool room, and this man can play!

If Allen is hitting 'em like he was a few weeks ago at the Joss event in Snookers in Providence, RI, he's going to be one tough cookie. Allen is back and will be a formidable opponent whoever he faces in the pit.

Michael Webb, a strong Joss Tour supporter, and Keith at the Turning Stone Casino. Mike will be providing on-site cue maintenance and repair, and he stays busy 24/7.

Picture of Mike looking at Keith's Willeecue. The players trust Mike's work to the fullest and depend on his expertise to keep their weapons of mass destruction in tip-top shape. :)

Liljon is making the trek from Hattiesburg, MS to Verona, NY for the $25,000-added Joss/Turning Stone event. With Liljon gearing up for the IPT tour this year, I have a feeling he's going to be in dead punch and will be putting on a grand performance.

It is always a pleasure running into John Macias on the tournament trail.:)

Shawn Putnam may be known as the Love Sponge, but when he's on a field of green, he is a mean machine, knocking my horse in the tub last year. His break in 9-ball is powerful, and he runs out like a bandit.

Shawn rose to the top like a rocket last year in this event, and I thought he was going to win the whole shebang. Look for Shawn to be fighting a bloody battle on his way to the winner's circle!
