Here is my Gold Crown II with new artemis rubber and rail calibration done by Donnie from SDBilliards. Simonis tournament blue 860HR. Set up was completed by Yogi, a table mechanic here on the Island I was able to show him a couple of things, like super gluing the slates, and how to finish the pockets to clean them up. I just wish there was a way I can get him together with a couple of guys here that would be willing to teach him a few things. I also showed him the Diamond billiards video on youtube of the cloth being glued on. I still have some cosmetic finish work to do on the ball box and table pedastals.

Looks like your going to have a nice table to play on now.:
That's a good job on the rail calibration Donny.....that Glen really showed you a lot;)
Man just imagine trying to fix these kind of rails and recalibrate them..WOW A LOT OF WORK...
but they really turned out great.....WHY TRY TO BUY NEW ONES WHEN THE OLD ONES CAN BE FIXED BETTER THAN THE NEW ONES?IMG_0868.JPG

I also change all the floating nut plates and casting inserts to the diamond insert....that way if there's ever a problem with a rail or casting bolt... you can get to it and make any repair needed. Some of the rails I get....I wasn't sure if I could save them....so far so good.

Holy shit Mark....what did you do, pull them rails out of a dumpster after someone threw them away as junk?:yikes::lmao:

LOL.....trust me...those are some of the good ones I do....most of them I have to remove half of the rail under the rosewood or formica.
BUT if in your travels....you find some in the dumpster...ship them to me. LOL

Your right Mark. I wouldn't being doing rail work without Glens teaching, I wouldn't be nearly the mechanic I'm today, and Glen has given me my two largest accounts. Thank you Glen.

Mark, your workmanship is outstanding, you router work is beautiful. Definitely I skill that I need to develop.

Donny, it's kind of like swimming, once you learn how to swim...then you're ready to start diving off the diving board next:grin: good job Donny, keep at it, you've come a long ways from when we first met:grin: and for what it's worth...MARK is just plain ass crazy with some of them jobs he gets:thumbup:

Hard to tell what your looking at.......now you know how I feel fixing them....and making a snooker table out of this again...LMAO
Hope to have some pics of the rails done sooooon.

We talked about them snooker rails buddy, I know he's a friend of yours and all, but I'd have cut the cap off the rails, cut the backside trim board off...and built new rail blocks right from the start....but, like I said already....you're just CRAZY sometimes...:D Get them finished and post up buddy:D

Im glad Donny was able to get those rails done for you properly. Table looks very nice and I would love to play some Straight Pool on that table.
