Hey All,

I just learned on Facebook that Niels "The Terminator" Feijen ran 416 today.....Wow i can only dream about getting halfway there !!!

-Steve

the run took 3 hours...would have to be a multi-dvd set !!!

I would love to see it as well.

I hope he shows up at SBE for the Fury 14.1 Challenge my camera will be rolling.

That is amazing! 111 short of the record! I do hope it was videoed!

Humbly standing in awe of this accomplishment.

Way to go Neils!

Niels is for sure a beast. One of the greatest running around atm.
The commentator at the Mosconi-Cup nailed it when he told about Niels, entering the table would look like a terminator "i am here to kill you with my cue". His nickname is really program :-)
Furthermore the perfect example for total willing and that hard work pays back and a great sportsman.

great

great run neils it doesnt surprise me. u r one of the few players with the talent and knowledge to do that kinda sick number.

Hi Guys,

Here is what Niels wrote on his FB page!

Just ran a 416 in straight pool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got home from the Emirates Saturday morning and felt really sick. Stayed at home 2 days coughing like mad and this evening I told Kat I was gonna hit a few balls just for the feel. She came up after 20min and I said I felt weak and was just gonna finish the run that was on 42 at that time. After passing the 150, I really started to wake up and I didn't get nervous until about 260. Nick had the old Dutch record with 293 and my old record was 259. Nobody in Holland ever reached 300 so I was nervous. I made a barely :) and then it took me another 30 balls to relax again. After that it was full steam ahead again. Missed a funky shot with a lot of inside english to break open 3 balls. Took 3 hours, Kat was the witness :) Amazing stuff :) :)

Interesting that he was sick...perhaps just a coincidence, but perhaps it helped him get in 'the zone'?

Sounds like no video so too bad for us. That is an awesome run congrats to Niels and this will only help continue the surge that is re-emergence of straight pool as as a premier pocket billiards game.

Congrats Niels awesome accomplishment.

Hey Steve...Thanks for sharing Niels accomplishment...

To the Terminator from the Pooln8r....I salute you!

Neil's is now on the short list of high runners. What a list to be on!

Great stuff...I'm also hoping at least some of that run was on video.

It's definitely possible that being sick may have helped. Certainly can take the expectation off of what you can do and free wheeling takes over. Skies the limit if you don't let being sick take over your thought process. My record is real good in tournaments on what most other people would call a day to call into the office. I found I didn't have the energy for second guessing on things so I concentrated on the execution instead of the risks.

Some of my best performances came from being sick or hungover lol. I had to use the table to keep from toppling over, but the balls kept going in and that's what matters.

Hey look what a prize Niels was awarded by Johan Ruijsink (Dutch team head coach and Team Europe Mosconi Cup captain)

I've done some amazing things when sick or hurt. You become so focused on not focusing yes you go into a trance like state of mind. Back in the 70's it was reefer madness.
I once bowled a 296 with a soar back.
