Veneer points glued, pressed and cured. I cut four points from the block this morning. First V- groove cut on for arm and first point glued and clamped also.
I will glue each point every 8 hours until finished Sunday afternoon. Then 24 hour wait and off to the saw machine to reveal your veneer selection on a tapered forearm.
Working on the ring billets now.
Stay tuned,
Rick

I will turn the forearm down on the core tonight to reveal your points on the initial taper.
I see what you mean about the point stock looking brown. It is just the camera lighting or angle. In person they are coal black gabon ebony. Look at the first pics that show the cut point and the scrap middle section, in that photo is is jet black. You can see in this pic in outside natural lighting that it is the black you desire.
BTW, Stew named your cue "Diablo" the other day because of it's devilish color scheme.:grin-devilish:
Coring of the Burl Handle went well without any problems as Burl is very delicate. It was tricky taking your tapered burl forearm stock and making it into a cored handle but it worked and "I got er done". :thumbup2: Also cored the ebony butt sleeve and bored the butt cap to size.
All of the parts are disproportional in length as shown here and need to be accurately sized and faced. When the rings are done, I will split the handle into 3 parts and nail the dimensions at that time.
I have 4 custom orders in the works right now. Your cue is now ahead of the flow chart gant time line schedule. If I keep burning the midnight oil in the shop I should be ahead of your target date for delivery. We need to sit down very soon at the computer and I will nail the cad geometry for your ivory inlay design.
Stay tuned.
Rick
