19 oz cue with a elk joint, from the joint back the woods are bubinga, birdseye, kingwood, tulipwood, bloodwood, the pin is a 1/2 by 8 thread wood pin treated to last a lifetime, the shaft is a recycled brunswick from an old house cue, honey in color and with a 12 1/2 mm moori tip, the ferrule is bamboo and helps lighten the front of the shaft. very unusual design and plays great also.

Wicked cue

that is one wicked looking cue! Wow!

Ive always wanted to try one. I love that pin!

In your opinon how would say this cue plays? Stiff? Whipy?

Thanks
Scott

stiff

i use a modified constant taper which in its self is stiff, but add the wood pin, no ferrule, and the instant you strike the cueball you get feedback to your hand on the butt.
wood is good

I think you've built so many cues without a ferrule you forgot that you actually put one on this cue:smile:Great looking cue and stay outside the box, your very unique in your style and have never heard one bad comment about the playability of your equipment.

my brain is overloaded

i stand corrected, too many things going on at one time, yes this cue does have a ferrule, its the bamboo ferrule i am using as a replacement for my no ferrule shafts.

Separate wood pin? Or the butt threaded?

Separate wood pin? Or the butt threaded? Do you crazy glue the pin?

the pin is maple, the forearm is bubinga

but i have glued them in also i have cut the pin out of the forearm, so it can be done both ways
