Im just thinking out loud here... but how would it effect play/hit of ferrle or tip, or both! if someone were to layer 3-4 fibre pads in such a way as to match ring work at a joint?! ;)

I SAID IT WAS SILLY!, but yeah asking seriously. whats the cons?

im sure im not the first person to have thought this.... anyone done it? Post pics?

i'm sure it can be done

and it will give you something to look at, as you are trying to pocket a ball

ok thats an idea i hadnt thought of, but wouldnt an ferrule be compromised and be prone to facture or crack? what kinda wood?

I think I saw a cue for sale either here or on ebay that had [matching] ringwork below the ferrule. If someone recalls that cue, maybe adding the link or pics for us?

I've seen ring work in the ferrules of some older very low end cues with cheap plastic ferrules. I think it was molded or cast into the plastic. Never saw it in a "good cue", but it sounds interesting.

No one has pictures or links? I wanna see one.. maybe I will just use what I have, and post some of my own...
