I didn't watch the first two days of this match, but here are the results from Day 3.

The conditions for this call-shot 10-ball match included the following: Diamond Smart Table with 4 1/8" corner pockets, Simonis 860 cloth that is not new, Magic Rack, winner breaks, breaker racks for himself, placement of balls in the rack is up to the racker except for 2- and 3-balls at back corners (and 1- and 10-balls in normal spots), measles cue ball, and jump cues allowed.

Johnny broke 25 times, with the following results:
Made at least one ball (and did not foul) and won the game -- 15 (60%)
Made at least one ball (and did not foul) and lost the game -- 4 (16%)
Broke dry or fouled but won the game -- 2 (8%)
Broke dry or fouled and lost the game -- 4 (16%)

Shane broke 19 times, with the following results:
Made at least one ball (and did not foul) and won the game -- 10 (53%)
Made at least one ball (and did not foul) and lost the game -- 6 (32%)
Broke dry or fouled but won the game -- 1 (5%)
Broke dry or fouled and lost the game -- 2 (11%)

For the two players combined, a ball was made on the break (without fouling) 35 of the 44 games (80%), the breaker won 28 of the 44 games (64%), and the breaker won 25 of the 35 games in which he made a ball on the break (71%).

Break-and-run games:
Johnny -- 9 out of 25 (36%)
Shane -- 9 out of 19 (47%)
Total -- 18 out of 44 (41%)
These 18 break-and-run games included one 3-pack by each player, three 2-packs (two by Shane, one by Johnny), and six singles.

Wow, playing 10-ball on that table those are some impressive break-and-run numbers.

Yes, indeed, the break results were considerably better than we usually see for 10-ball or 9-ball. It seems like the 10-ball break is almost too predictable in some matches (as it is in 9-ball sometimes, too). They broke from the same spot every time. They made at least one ball 80% of the time, and with just a couple of exceptions, it was the ball(s) behind the 1-ball going in the side pocket(s) or the back corner ball(s) going 4-rails and in. It would be nice to have more variety in the break results.

But, obviously, these are two of the all-time-best breakers. It doesn't always go that way.
