SD Billiards - Diamond Move/Re-Felt Review
I wanted to take the time and write a review of SD Billiards and Donny Wessels. SD Billiards did a pool table move and re-felt of my 8' Diamond Table.
I had the opportunity to purchase a Diamond table from a fellow AZ Member. The table was in great shape and needed to be picked up 30 miles from my house. I called Donny a few days prior to pick up; gave him the address and we agreed to meet at the house.
I pulled up to the house 10 minutes early and at the same time in comes Donny. He examined the pool table for me; found no major issues and started the move.
He was extremely efficient and took his time to make sure everything was perfect. He found a small issue with one of the legs and took the time to grab the wood glue and a clamp and fixed it on the spot. He wrapped the table carefully in black cellophane and made sure there was no sunlight hitting the table.
Within an hour he was back at my place to drop off the table. We previously agreed the he would re-felt 2 days later and I reluctantly paid him in full for the move and re-felt (my choice) with an agreement that he would come back in two days. During that two day period; I purchased a new home and did not want the table leveled and re-felted until after the move. I contacted Donny via email let him know the circumstances and he agreed to delay delivery of his services for another 30 days.
Well 40 days later came by and it was time to have my table moved to my new house and re-felted. I was concerned about how much time had gone by and whether he would be able to fit me in his schedule. I gave him a call and he immediately responded and agreed to come out within the next few days. A few days later he showed up with his helper and spent several hours getting my table perfect.
Someone here has a signature that reads something like “If you want to guarantee a poor quality job; pay in advance”. I am happy to report that was not the case with SD Billiards. I was impressed by his professionalism and his follow through. If any of you are looking to have a pool table moved in Southern California I would not hesitate to recommend Donny.
