I had not seen my stick in over a year do to the fact that it was difficult to find someone authorized to put the TS logo on the buttcap for my cue. Mike Webb found someone authorized to do the buttcap and did a phenomenal job on the refinish and leather wrap. Thank you so much. Without further adieu, here are before and after pictures.

nice..nice,nice...beautiful looking cue..looking awfully rough before..its really nice to know there are people out there that can work wonders to bring our cues to life again..all the best to you.

beautiful job!

Beautiful work guys! And it looks like you made a great choice in your repair team.
Kudos to you too.

I'm glad that you posted the "after" pics.
Mike Webb will be one of my first choices if I ever send a higher end cue off for repair or restoration.

Mike and Dan are both class acts. Mike did a great job refinishing the cue. Clearly worth the wait.

How does a butt cap get that badly broken? There has to be a great story behind it.

Ts - mw- dj

Awesome job done by two of the best Cue Makers, and two of the finest Gentlemen in the business.
That cue looks perfect now.
Thank you for a lesson on where to send repairs! Enjoy your TS, MW, DJ!

I am not the OP but I can tell you from experience that it does not take much to break a butt cap like that.

A good firm tap on the floor can do it.

It had to do with the design, in the OP's broken pictures see the thin walls of the butt cap, and the rubber bumper which is totally inside.

The rubber expands against the walls, and boom.

This design was changed in later years to help those of us who failed anger management courses.

I bought the cue all beat up. Correction: I stole the cue for pennies all beat up. lol. The guy I bought the cue from was playing with a limited edition Pedator and breaking with the Scruggs. He let me play with the scruggs and i fell in love with it. For years i begged him to sell me the cue. One day, he finally did. He says the cue is over twenty years old. So it has seen a lot of action.

I am so happy with his work, I am going to send a couple more cues to him. The leather wrap is one of the best I have ever seen. I cannot find the seam.

Like i said Mike Webb is underrated but he is one of the best kept secrets for cues on the eastcoast. As for Dan he's just a classy guy with a classy cue.

Btw what was the deal with the TS logo ? Why was it so hard to get the logo it seems like a very intresting story.

Difficult because Tim has retired, and shut down his shop. His long time partner Mike passed away.

He gave permission to a few cuemakers to put his stamp on a cue. The problem is finding them because it was not well published.
