Well, I finally got a picture from Skip and although it's not the greatest quality I wanted to share.

Now I am getting real pumped.
Next up, Mike Webb :D

Looks great, Koop. Great veneers. They all stand out instead of blending together. It looks great. Nice piece of curly as well. Its a keeper.

Man I can see how gorgeous it is gonna be. Imagine when clear coat gets put on and highlights the grain of the woods that you chose. ***Drool***

Thanks buddy. The veneers were a tough call but I actually settled on something simple that I thought would look nice.

The clear coat is what I'm waiting for because Skip said that it would really pop once it's applied. I'll bring it to Orlando with me so you can hit with it.

Picture slightly touched up by my friend Mike Webb.

Thanks again Mike.

Mike did a nice job tweaking the pic, Koop. Like I said, I think that's some pretty nice cocobolo. Looks like you got as nice a piece of curly for that forearm as I did. ;) I can't wait to see the finished product, should be just awesome!!

Hang in there, Baby!!!

Nice Matt!! Looking like that one is almost done now!

Mine should be done in another week or so, and I am anticipating the delivery van should be paying me a visit shortly thereafter. :D

BTW...did you just get the pic today from Skip? I know he was planning on going to the Expo, as a spectator this year. From the looks of it, if he did go, he got right back on the cues when he got home.

I saw Skip at Joe's booth when I was down there, and he was just browsing around.

My friend Brian (pharoah) had his very fancy Skip on hand and everyone was oohing and ahhing when he pulled it out and Joe pointed to Skip and said "that's the man who built it."

I count 4 AZ heads getting Skips in the next few weeks, including myself. We should have a little expo of our own, lol.

I'm guiltily already thinking of selling mine for a small profit, and putting the money back into an even FANCIER model from Skip. I feel like I short sighted my design on this first Weston cue, although it is going to be really nice. Skip can do such nice work, I really want to maximize his talents, you know?

Matt....I know just what you mean. After I made my first design submission, I began to have second thoughts, as I could have picked up a more traditional looking cue from just about anyone. When the opportunity presented itself to make a design change, I jumped at it. It had suddenly occured to me that I was having the cue built, I wasn't just buying a pre-built cue.........I could do just about any design I wanted....DOH!...Lol. Now I know that I will never run into someone with the same, or even a similar cue....because my cue is completely unique to me. :D I do not ever plan on parting with this one!

Great minds think alike, maximizing his talents is exactly what we need to do.

I'm going to sell my first Skip, and possibly this third for a be-all, end-all, uber Skip. I'm mulling over ebony into curly ph, with enough ivory peacocks/diamonds/barbells to sink a ship, lol.

The Ebony cue I currently shoot with now (http://forums.azbilliards.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=14083&stc=1&d=1138173983) will probably always be my shooter, never getting rid of that.
