Forrest,

Here are some pics of your cue in progress.

Please note that the butt cap is still .625 and will be cut back to you .500 size requested. The Hoppe ring is .200.

Joint collars will be .250 and will go on later.

Looks great Rick can't wait to see more progress it's refreshing to have a cuemaker work so fast and post pictures so fast it's great

Forrest,

I took more passes again on the shaft and butt today.

They are sealed and resting. I should be able to finish the butt taper on Saturday and install the pin on Sunday.

The shaft is scheduled to be at final size my next week and then I can start the finish process.

Rick

Forrest,

The wrap groove is to your dimensions and the butt feature is machined.

I stained the cue as you requested and it makes it look older for sure.

I just installed the pin this morning and the cure time on the epoxy is 36 hour. When that cures I can seal the cue for the finish process.

Hi Forrest,

Pin epoxy cured and wrap groove cut to your specs. I am glad we are doing progress pic or there would have been a big surprise when the cue was done. Glad you caught that. All is right now.

I can start the finish process now.

Thanks,

Rick

Forrest,

Here is the cue ready for shipping to your specs. This tribute to John is a very cool thing and I know it means a lot to you.

Pics came out like crap, I will take new one when the sun is higher.

Thanks,

Rick
