Buyer beware, or not?

One thing is rare for sure - G10 in 2006....But pin could be replaced to keep the weight down.
Looks authentic to me. 60 inch cue is nor rare at all btw.

Could have been a special order . But it just doesnt look like one of Eric's to me. I 'll try and give Eric a call and see if he remembers the cue.

Really...How common are they? Can you tell me how many are out there, and who owns them?

I'm with you..It could of been a special order, but it just doesn't look right...

I have seen 4 or 5 for sale on here in the last year or so that I can remember. 60 inch ST cues aren't that rare. Last one I remember was a purple heart cue. But I saw this cue and the ringwork seems off to me as is the sig under the bumper. It is a nice looking cue though. He actually sold another cue that resembled a ST. Hopefully light will be she'd on this before it is too late.

I'm glad you posted that ebay link..This is the same ebay seller (charlese9911). I inquired about this cue, and charlese9911 claimed the builder is unknown (I was thinking Sugartree, but at 59" I was skeptical) in a email response..

Notice that charlese911 sold this 60" Sugartree 5/27/12, and the butt plate, and rings are identical to the unknown cue builders 59" cue you posted subdude....I've been following Eric's work since the EPT days starting in 04, and these are the only 60" Sugartree cues I've seen..I'm not saying they don't exist, but I would like to see more...

This does not look like an ST to me.

I've owned one of Eric's 2006 SP and the signature doesn't match. I remember that he didn't put his "signature" on the outside of the SP I owned because it was a conversion. This cue doesn't look like a conversion. So to me, if Eric built the cue from "scratch", his signature would be appear outside of the butt.

The microrings are a bit thick on this cue.

Only Eric can verify if this is one of his or not.

Yes, i can point out few. So, if i can name few, they are not THAT rare. I own 2 St 60 inch cues myself...actually i sold one and still have another one.
That is why they are called custom cues - so you can have it built to your specs - length, weight, woods etc. Right? So, what is so rare about a 60 inch cue? Can you enlighten me?
Anyway, one was sold not too long ago - a PH PJ(http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=281920). I have one and sold another one, plus this one(http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...28yaVJw%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc#ht_500wt_1414)
And if i really look for them, i bet i could find at least 10 more.
Hope that answers your question.

The cue in your first link was sold on ebay by the seller who is in question..I believe it's the same cue that was offered here..Your second link doesn't work....60 inch ST are not that common..:) Hopefully Eric will chime in..Don't get me wrong there's a part of me that wants to bid on the cue, but I'm having a hard time...

And that means what? I really do not understand what your intentions are here. Are you arguing for the sake of argument? Or do you really think that 60 inch cue is hard to come by? In fact, i have 3 more 60 inch cues made by different cuemakers.
The only person who can really tell if it is a ST is Eric.
There is also a possibility that it was built by Eric's brother.
