Does anyone have one of these? Im looking to get a new case and am not really fond of the wave case in the looks department. I know there have been a few threads in the past and I cannot find them where they showed the different configurations. Does anybody have a link for them? I know the one I saw had them all laid out on a pool table.

thanks.

JB Nylon cases

I'd like to buy one of these as well. The thread link is a couple years old. How does a guy order one, Thanks, David

I'm not overly fond of the looks of a Wave case myself. But John does make a plain nylon case. I couldn't find a pic of one on his site but they look heavy duty. I bet that they would last several life times.

If and when I get a new case, which hopefully will be soon, it will be one of those. Get a hold of John and ask. He will probably send you a few pics.

With one of those nylon cases, I doubt you would need a nylon travel case
to put this one in.

John gets peed at me sometimes so he might not sell me one.

These Nylon Cases are the best bang for buck in cue case! The only prob i see is shipping cost but if you already have a source that has the case domestically then there's no reason not to get one if you're looking to buy a case. Same protection as the high end cases from John for a fraction of the price. Those Nylons are pretty much water proof and super hardwearing.

John recently made me a very basic one for travelling and i only wish i asked for a handle then...

Hey John,

I seriously love these nylon cases...am thinking about getting another one hmmm...

Anyway just a thought, have you ever checked how much is the shipping should u ship 2 cases? Or 3 - 4 cases?
Cos international shipping is the cost driver for this case from how I see it, the case on its own is considerably inexpensive and I'd say great value.

If 2-3 guys can come together to buy them cases and can possibly end up saving 20-30 bucks each then it could be viable for them.

Anyway it's just a thought...I'm just glad you're in Xiamen and shipping in china is cheap :)

It costs me about 120 to ship two cases and probably about 170 to ship three. I know if we hit 23kg then the cost per kg goes to about 40% off the regular price. That's about ten cases.

Pretty soon the black ones in all sizes will be in the USA at a couple dealers anyway.

And Chady Liu sells them shipped for $140 I think for the 2x5 so that's much better than us. He has a special way to ship for less than us that we don't have access to.

I am ok with not selling a lot of these direct as long as the dealers pick them up. We originally made them as prototypes just to see what a nylon case would look like and if they would be accepted. They have been, I guess we have sold around 15-20 direct since we have been doing them.

So far this year I think we have done more than 600 for dealers with 300 about to go to the USA. So they are getting out there slowly and should be available domestically in most places this coming year if sales continue as they have been.

The shipping though honestly is one of those things that I think people just forget about once the case is in their hands. I mean if you look at the value provided and divide the cost up over the years of service then it's a paltry sum looked at as yearly expense. $75 shipping on a $100 case seems like a lot but if you simply treat as a $175 case that outperforms cases costing $500 to $3000 it looks a lot better.

thanks for the pics JB. I was on my phone last night and not sure why the link to paste well.
