iPhone and iPad beta testers needed for Billiards App

Hi Everyone,

I have been working on updating my iPhone score keeping app, Billiards Buddy, for several months now. The current version just handles 14.1 and Three Cushion, but I have been updating it to handle 8 Ball and 9 Ballas well. I am also adding iPad support.

I will need 5 to 10 beta testers soon. Anyone who's interested, please send me your UDID (a UDID is a number unique to each iDevice). Email it to me at billiardsbuddy@gmail.com and I will get your phone setup for beta testing.

When you email me your UDID, please also mention what games you play most, since I need testers for each type of game.

You can use this app to determine the UDID and send it via email from within the app.

I ask that anyone interested in beta testing be patient with the process of getting their phone setup. It is a notoriously error prone process due to the protections apple has in place. Also, please note that the beta won't be ready for a few weeks still. But I want to have testers ready to go when it is.

Just a bump in hopes of getting some testers! There have got to be some players out there with iPhones and iPads!
 
I'm in. iPhone 4 and latest ipad

I play 8 and 9 ball with some 14.1.


I'm a java architect so I understand the beta process in general. I'll send you my ipad udid as requesting directly.
 
I sent you an email today from my gmail account it bounced indicating your email address is not a valid recipient. I read google had a major outage in the last 24 hours so that might explain it. I had to put spaces in above because az forum rules don't allow me to post 'links' yet.
 
Thanks developer, for alerting me to that! In fact the address should be billiardsbuddy@gmail.com , which is why it bounced. Please try again, and I'll update the original post when I get back to a real computer.

I have started on a one pocket counter, and it is already hidden in the app. If you have the pro version, add a player named "One Pocket" to unlock the counter. However, it is VERY beta. I've found one pocket's handicapping rules quite hard to translate into code, so you'll need to keep your pennies under the rail for a while longer.

I'm not sure whether you meant count me in, as in wanting the iPad version, or count me in, I want to beta test. If you would like to beta test, please use the instructions in the first post to email me your UDID from your iPad 2.

Everyone, just so you know, I started upgrading the app to a universal, iPhone/iPad app last night. Here is an actual screenshot of the new Eight Ball counter. It's not nearly complete, but should give you an idea of what it will look like. I'm still hoping to get a few more testers.
