Attention cuemakers and hobbyists:

This is not my area of expertise but am helping out a dear friend to sell this excellent running South Bend Model A lathe.

Included are the lathe itself, mounted on a benchtop cabinet, PLUS . . .

lots of tools for use on this machine.

Again, I'm not sure what much of this is for, obviously there are cutting tools but some of the other stuff is outside of my knowledge.

I was told, however, that the tools alone may be worth as much, if not more than, the price being asked for this lathe.

I believe this is a heck of a good deal.

It is located near Canton, GA (approx 40 minutes north of Atlanta) and is for local pickup only. We can assist in loading it on your vehicle.

Price is $1250 and includes everything pictured.

If using paypal, please add 4% to cover thei fees.

Anyone who dares to ask about trades will be hunted down, loaded into the jaws of this machine and turned down. :yikes:

Get it, you'll be 'turned down'? :grin-square:
Thanks for having a look.

There are also an old delta/Milwaukee drill press and assorted bench grinders avail.

best,
brian kc

Brian,

Post this in the Cue Machinery and Supplies section and it should get alot more interest. Just a thought, not trying to impose.Good luck with the sale.

thank you.

any interest out there in an old school south bend lathe?

shoot me an offer and let's see what we can do . . .

Nice looking package for the price. Doesn't get much better than SouthBend and the model A's were solid as a rock. Only red flag I see is the way's dont look quite long enough for cue work between centers ( if you're into that sort of thing). but I think these have a 1 1/4 or 1 3/8 spindle bore. so they will accomodate joint operations, tip/ferrule work as well as pretty much anything else you care to do on a lathe. price reduced!

just knocked $150 off the price so hopefully someone will make a move on this old school, real lathe.

thanks for looking.
