I recently received this in a trade and although it is a very, very nice cue, I think someone else may appreciate it more than I. These do not come up for sale very often and when they do they tend to sell very quickly.

It is straight together and apart and in very good shape as it was recently refinished by Richard. It has 4 Ebony points with 4 veneers (black/purple/green/natural) into BEM. It has a black with white spec linen wrap and a very rare 5/16 x 14 SS joint.

Specs:

Butt-14.9oz
Shaft 1-4.05oz/12.8mm
Shaft 2-4.05oz/12.7mm

The balance is about 19 1/2"

Shaft diameters were measured at the base of the ferrules.

The butt is a bit thicker than what is common today. It has an old JW feel to it.

The cue plays very well and move the cue ball around with little to no effort. The only thing I would change would be to change out the tips to Moori or Black King.

I would like to trade this for another custom cue. Ideally I'm looking for a Murrell, Bender, or PFD but I may consider other top tier makers as well. I am not interested in anything production line. If you have something you would like to trade please end me a pm with the info and specs. I'm willing to trade even, up or down.

Thank you Chris. It is indeed a very nice cue. I played with it a little the other night and it plays fantastic!

I will sell it outright for $1400 shipped and insured. This is a GREAT deal for an RC3. They are very sought after and rarely come up for sale. Richard is not getting any younger and his cues are sure to be increasing in value very soon. Furthermore, finding an older model like this one with the 4/16 x 14 stainless joint is next to impossible.

Someone is going to be very happy with this cue!

I'm flexible on what I'll take on trade but I would prefer the makers I specified.

Ok, I was going to have a lizard or leather wrap installed on this cue and keep it because it plays THAT good. But I have found another PFD that I want to buy and the seller is not interested in trades so this needs to go.

Practically FREE!

well almost. That's a lot of cue for 1250. My wife has confiscated all readily available cash to be used in an over budget bathroom remodel so I'm out. but damn... I really like Richards work.

You are correct Sir!

I can't believe thsi cue is still available. If it had a "TS" on the buttcap it would have sold for twice my current asking price and it wouldn't be nearly as nice a cue. Sorry to all the TS fans out there but I have never seen a TS cue with veneer work this nice. I'll also bet this cue can play as well as any TS cue as well.

Seriously guys, this is a VERY nice cue at a steal of a price!
