If there isn't already a sticky for this info, this should be it. Nice work new guy. Contributions like these make the wheel run smoothly.

Now show them how to use a postal scale and a caliper and you've got something... :)

I already covered shipping.. :)

Do you know how to post one taken with your iPhone? I have posted before with the attachment method but this wouldn't work with my phone.
Thanks

I take the pics with my phone, and then email them to myself. From my email on the PC,I save them to "My Pictures".Then it's easy from there.

If its on the phone and you wanna post directly then you only have 2 options (that I know of):

1) Download Photobucket App onto your phone and upload photos into your photobucket account directly and use the generated link for posting images.(This option is free)

2) Download Tapatalk and use it to visit the forum. Tapatalk will host the images for you. (Tapatalk is a paid application but if you visit the forums very frequently on your phone then I strongly suggest this app)

Thanks,

Can you use this method with larger picture files or must they be the compressed size files i.e. 100 k size? If the files need to be smaller in size or compressed to a smaller size I would then say using the photobucket method is much better.

Thanks

Kevin

Picture sizes

As AZB is run off vBulletin, the max size for pictures is a configuration/setting our respective Mods and Admins set forth. However, you can resize pictures prior to the upload by converting the picture to a .png, jpg, etc. formatted picture.

Photobucket and Tapatalk are excellent, but I believe it's invaluable for those on the go (phone) and with frequent sellers with a lot of pictures. A buyer navigating through a respective Seller's Photobucket album could easily become confused if the photos are not well organized and named.

There have been a couple times I've visited others' albums only to struggle to find where the cue I'm interested in is located, due to so many pictures for all of the Seller's respective cues being sold at the same time.

Adding multiple pictures to a single post

Hi,

You can add up to 5 pictures in a post. If you are using the URL method (Yellow box), simply perform the process 5 times. If you are using the attachment (Paperclip) method, it's a little quicker. Try to do it one swoop. That is, after you've uploaded your picture, don't close that box out. Continue to click "Browse" and "Upload" until you see that you've reached the maximum allowed. See example illustration. :)

How do you attach more than one picture in a single post?

I was using the attachment method. After I picked one picture I would find a second picture and click upload. The problem is the second picture replaced the first picture and I would only get one picture no matter how many I tried to upload. I am using an iPad if that matters.

Thanks for your help.

Hmmm...I don't get what you mean...
I do not mean providing a link and asking someone to click on the link to view the pictures. Here's an example of photobucket linked image:

This image was not uploaded onto AZ forum it's an image hosted by photobucket...I didn't need to resize nothing and its way easier.

Those are good pics, Chuck. There are many times that people only place the link, like tar was referring to, and I don't even bother looking. Often family or personal pics are mixed in as I'm searching for their item and it just don't like looking into personal lives of someone that I don't know. But, Chuck has this done right and you get a quality attachment.
